Can we win the league?

Everyone acting as though Norwich will win all 8 remaining games.

Bizarre.

They have a soft underbelly, they concede goals and keep conceding them. Only needs a spell of profligacy and they drop points.

Been fortunate vs Swansea, Rotherham and Hull in their last 3.

Have they? When did they receive the trophy? Did they have an open top bus? Does that mean we've finished second?

I must have missed the run in. Blimey!

I see Norwich are the latest team to benefit from our obsequious, unctuous knee-bending.

Ever so ‘umble.

So you're saying they can drop 9 points and will still win the league?

Ground breaking stuff.

Some of us have. I always have a wry smile when people award trophies before Easter. They ‘just ain’t been around’, as someone once said.

Can we give Norwich the trophy yet then?

'Norwich haven't won it yet' is the new 'Leeds are collapsing'. Wishful thinking with no basis in reality.

During our promotion years from the past, there's always a team that just keeps doing it, and then there's us hanging on.
League One was the only exception, but that should have been expected in year one anyway, not year six.

Unfortunately this year, there's a team that just keeps doing it and there are two teams that are hanging on. We've now got to hang onto the other hanger on.

Bit of an update.

I don't think Norwich are going to slip up. Boro have completely fallen away. If some how the grunters get in to the play offs they definitely deserve it with that run in!

Norwich will go up as Champions and deservedly so. They have a good side with some quality attacking players.

I'm just glad we took 4 points off them this season so I can say that without any sour grapes :D

Of course if I end up being wrong and we finish top I will happily eat my words. That would be the tastiest snack ever.

leeds have 2 big stumbling blocks

brentford away , bees are strong at home
Villa h Villa flying

we have tough games but none as tough as those , wont be easy at brum and hull but I wouldnt back against us

That’s 3.

To be fair Farke has done a right job this season. There were calls for him to be sacked at the end of the last one. Like us, did anyone fancy them to challenge this year?

Can’t remember where they finished exactly but this season has been some turn around from lower mid-table, without Maddison too.

I think people are incredibly harsh on Norwich, they are a really exciting side to watch, more than any other championship team I've seen and have about half a dozen players who will play at the top level no problem

If we are promoted then league position wise it's looking obvious Norwich will finish above us as champions but I have a gut feeling we'd be the higher placed Prem side next season.

It happens quite often that the champions don't always finish the highest out of the three promoted teams the following season, although an obvious factor is how well the clubs recruit in the subsequent summer transfer window. There'll be a cloud over our recruitment because of the ownership issue but despite that I think our unique style of play will see us have an exciting season and finish above the other two promoted sides.

Football sure is a funny old game.

I am a very occasional gambler (once a year). I went into Freds establishment to place a bet on a nag in the national yesterday.

It was on the end of Hessle Road in Hull. I asked the guy serving me what odds for Sheff United not to lose another game this season.

He said he couldn't do it as there were not enough games left? He then asked if was a Blades fan.

When I said yes, he said "I am from the other side". My instinctive reaction was "you mean you are a pig",!

Give him credit, he did laugh.

Anyway I stuck a fiver on for us to be Champions at 9-1. Got home only to see Naaarwich dicking a toothless QPR.

I fancy the grunters to get something next week and Preston
I’ve posted it elsewhere, but I think Leeds will only get 8-9 point from their next 5 games.
I think Preston and Wednesday could get a point and Villa will beat them if they need a result.
