Wilder criminal for me for formation change. We play so well with 5 at the back and to change it for me didnt work. We go to 4 at back and conceded 3 goals after been defensively solid. By changing formation for me we take baldock and Steven's out of the game because they simply dont suit 4 at the back.

Whilst not the mice I'd have made, don't understand the reaction Johnson has got.

Said this my self so many times. Don't actually think he is a bad player and gets slagged off so much every time he gets on the pitch. He didnt cost us any of the goals. I think the most criminal for me is the change of formation. We never look right when we dont play the formation we know so well.

I think in the games he's come in for since the Barnet shambles, he's done well and contributed, building up a bit of respect, and showed he's decent. I thought he was cack today though, back to the Marvin of the Rotherham game.

Johnson is possibly at fault for 2 of the goals. Lost his man on the 2nd and was ball watching on the 3rd. Personally he shouldn't play at LWB for the rest of the season. Cranie / Stearman get us a point minimum IMO

The yawning chasm at the back stick for their equaliser tells a different tale.

Gimme an hour and a half and I'll have you an Ollie Norwood feature film.

Or I won't, because I'm not going to single him out when it was more than just one player that caused today.

I take it the midfield and rest of defence were faultless?

For me he' d have never played for us again after his performance in the cup. So don't for a second think I'm a fanboy.

Johnson is shit. Norwood is not, despite playing badly today.

I suppose Fleck and Norwood doing the grand total of fuck all marking and tracking no one there also didn’t do anything to aid the goal?

And yet the thread is about today isn't it? So aren't we digesting that not overriding general opinions?

Also, I don't think today was all Johnson's fault. But he certainly did fuck all to help.

Fantastic hatrick from Weimann, you've gotta give it to him.

I completely agree with the preference of system in ordinary circumstances, but switching away from it was not the cause today of the defeat. We conceded the first with our usual formation, switched to 4 when Hogan came on with Bash in mid, switched to the usual formation with JOC going off, and then switched again back to 4 when we conceded the 2nd. We only conceded 1 goal today with 4 at the back – the 3rd.

For me, the crucial poor tactical move was to not keep with the 4 and bring Stearman on for JOC. We could have then kept the shape that had seen us wrestle back the game. Re: Baldock, it’s somewhat ironic that his first assist of the season occurred when we’d moved to 4 at the back.

Yep. I never said the others were good. Norwood gave it away in some criminal areas.

But Johnson particularly stood out as looking nowhere near good enough to be a Championship footballer.

Bash was in midfield long before half time. Not entirely sure when in relation to their first.

I think anyone wanting to justify criticism of Johnson can reference him dribbling the ball out for a corner and fluffing some good crossing positions. Looks to have been done too easily for that winning goal too.

Guesty Where was Steven's who is playing lcb? Steven's doesn't get into the box to block shots like this either.

If Wilder had done the sensible thing and put a proper centre half on instead of Johnson, Stevens wouldn't have been playing out of position.

Just because bringing Johnson on was a terrible move doesn't mean the player was at fault for everything.
