So. Who thinks we'll do it?

We are the best side in the league for me.
Said it months ago and still believe it.

We have tightened up at the back, maybe not so expansive and creative but are perhaps a little more clinical than last season.

Only crime is that there is a play off at all, espexially one that shows no advantage to a side finishing third and probably by a good margin.

Loads more to happen yet and nothing will be won or lost in the next month.

There will be twists and turns and ups and downs for every team.

I've been saying since before Christmas that if we're still in contention in contention on St Patrick's day then it's ours to lose.

By then we will have all our "hardest" fixtures out of the way and a reasonable looking run in on paper, although they do say that nothing is won on paper and there are no easy games.

Up until that day, que sera sera

I see no reason to change my mind.

We need to get as many points as Leeds over 8 games.

When I put it that way, it looks incredibly realistic.

If Leeds win all 8 games then fair play but I honestly think if we get 16/17 points from the 24 available we will do it - just.

I dont think we'll manage an about spot I'm afraid.

8 cup finals.
No One wants play offs especially the lads. They believe. Do you?

I do. I've never had so much faith in our lads than with every single one of this bunch.

COYRWW.
Yep. Said so a few weeks ago now. Don’t see why we can’t finish Champions. Not much to choose between the top 3 tbf, but I think we’ve probably got the best team spirit of the 3 if not the best players, and I think that, and the unpredictable style of play, and not least the manager, will see us up as Champions.

I’m expecting us to win 5 , draw 2, lose 1 or at worse win 4, draw 3 lose 1.

Either of the above should be enough to finish top 2 and that’s what I expect.

I genuinely do think we are going to do it. When we best Blackburn over the Christmas period, I came out of the match and the first thing I said was we are going up top two, and I was laughed at by a lot of people.

The biggest reason I’ve seen why is that the players have belief in themselves that they are going to do it, they aren’t scarred by past failures (although us fans are), and not only are they a splendid set of footballers, they also appear to be incredibly mentally strong. I was at Leeds and it took a lot of collective mental strength to withstand the periods of the game where they really did come at us,

Come the end of the season, it's likely that the points difference between 2nd and 3rd will be very small, 1-3 points perhaps. That's a single result.

We could perform excellently over the final 8 games and still not make it.

Right now we have a 1 point advantage with a better goal difference. It's good, but one slip up and it's gone. One mistake, or shitty refereeing decision and our current advantage becomes a 2 point deficit. Make no mistake however that whoever gets the spot will have deserved it, but it's so in the balance that there's no way to say for sure right now.

If i'm honest with myself, I can see us just missing out. Mostly based just on too many previous experiences like this, but I can't undo that feeling. I still have more confidence this time than before though.

I think we can do it we are the best team in the league on our day for me. We just need to keep hold of it and play every game like it's the final like it has been said. Think we have the advantage with the group of lads we have all level headed and experienced this promotion buzz before, that tide with the togetherness of the team and the way wilder has them buzzing ready to go before each game I really think we can do it. Not sure if we can catch Norwich as they really dont seem to slip up at all but I see no reason why we cant keep pressure on them and if they do slip up be there ready to take it off there hands. It is definitely going to be close and maybe even go down to the last game but I have confidence and I am sure the lads will have to. Wilder will make sure there playing all the way till the final whistle of the last game as he did when we was going for 100 points there was no slip up and we just kept going despite knowing we was up as champions.

We've Had A Great Season No Matter What Happens Play Offs Is A Great Achievement

Take yourself back to the start of the season and imagine being told we'll finish above:

West Brom
Stoke
Middlesbrough
Villa
Forest
Derby
Swansea

While everybody's being upbeat, I'm already seeing Norwich rocking, if Middlesbrough wake up from their slumber they can put them down and I don't think they'll be so quick to recover. Leeds also have been stewing away for 2 weeks, shoulda this shoulda that lets see if they can pick themselves up. And the Blades...just coming great at the right time!

I'm willing to wait and see.

No point getting ahead of ourselves one way or t'other.

Still can't decide anyway. Some days it feels like 1990 again, others I'm convinced we're destined to just miss out.

I'm also convinced we're due some luck, and a play off win.

All the Leeds fans I’ve spoken to think they’re done for in relation to top two. They sound just like we usually do.

Means nothing though if they win Saturday and we don’t then they’ll be all but up again you watch!

Rocking? Haven’t they won six on the bounce?

We can only hope we get a fair rub of the green . No hideous ref decisions .

Think we know the teams good enough . The players are focused and they have a manager with a burning ambition

Can only give of our best . And see if it's good enough

I believe we are capable of success . But there's external pressures that can throw a spoke in the wheel.

single goal vicyories over Rotherham Hull Swansea, if that was us people would be pooing their pants.

Swansea did a double over us? Rotherham we drew one and won the other 2-0 at our place against 10 men? And so far we have won 1 against hull 1-0 at our place with them still to play away? Out of the 3 fixtures you just picked we havent managed to gather better results its hard this time of season as teams battle it out for safety and last push for promotion etc. A wins a win to me and 3 points on the board is all that matters and Norwich definitely haven't been dropping points doesn't mean they wont or cant but I think they will be happy with any score line at the minute as long as it's another 3 points on the board and another game gone by where teams cant catch them up?

Whilever it's only one it can easily be a draw.
We'll see how it pans out.
