I'm surprised that it's had so little recognition on here . Great positioning , lovely one touch control and a beautifully clinical finish . Absolutely superb .

For me , he's still one of our most influential players and the more I see of him in the remaining matches the happier I will be .

We were all laughing when he scored because at half time we all commented how Duffy seemed to be struggling to get into the game.
In the 2nd half he seemed under par and the lads around me (who are usually considered and thoughtful) suggested that it just wasn’t going to be Duffys day and he should be subbed.

In fact we commented that McGoldrick kept coming deep leaving Hogan up on his own, with McGoldrick playing the Duffy role it seemed to make Duffy less effective and he struggled to take up positions because McG was in them.

When the goal went in....we all commented about how someone having a poor game can come up with a brilliant finish from nothing.
Good job none of us were the manager..as we’d have all subbed him before he scored.

Hes the only player we have that can make a goal from nothing. Hate when he doesnt start. No matter who we're playing.

Duffy definitely divided opinions yesterday. Me and HBT junior (not letting him off) had just agreed that Duffy should be subbed when he made the chance for Enda, and then scored a beauty. One of those moments when having a seat on the Kop directly behind the goal is worth all the disadvantages of the Kop. We knew a millisecond before the rest of you that we'd scored - from the instant he hit it. Beautiful moment.

When Duffy and goldie start we are a better team.
Stick with this now for the run in.

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve thought ‘he’s not really doing it today’ shortly before he creates or scores a goal.

In mi head I was ranting at this, a man up with Duffy & Goldy passing the ball to each other

Add to that Fleck & Norwood in there was crackers, McGoldrick should have fucked off up front against the CBs

It was a fantastic strike - just shows how important quality players are. Be out of the game for a while then bang - in the back of the net.
