If you were John Lundstram...

Go to night clubs and brag to lovely ladies about being a professional footballer. Splash some cash on expensive drinks. Then take the nicest one home.

Would also buy all my supermarket ready meals from the ‘best of’ range and get luxury quilted bog roll.

I would also set up direct debits for all my regular bills, so I didn’t forget to pay them. It’s a busy life being a pro footballer I can tell you!

Lose some weight, get a move to a middling L1 team and rebuild my reputation.

I still think there's some ability there but he needs to have a team built around him where he gets to touch the ball more than anyone else. He'll probably never be good enough to deserve that in the Champ and he's shown no aptitude for being a role player

Richard Stearman has all his bills on a spreadsheet

Get really lean and fit, practice close control and footwork a lot, and think of reinventing myself as a ball winning box to box type.

Thats the problem with him though. He's so top heavy he needs to play every week just to be match sharp. I'd be asking to play in every U23 game. Its about his speed of thought and vision just as much as his physique. I'm not sure being leaner and fitter will improve that.

Be thankful i'm on the bench for this huge club, because i'm only good enough for league two.

I'd roll out of bed in the morning. Put up all my make up and go. Go shop with the girls. And get my nails done. I would flirt with who I wanted. And I'd never get confronted for it.

To be a scapegoat ey?

He’s not even a bad player, we just have better players ahead of him. Think people have short memories when it comes to midfielders we’ve had to watch in our recent history.

Laugh myself to sleep every night. Wake up in the morning, check my bank balance on line, check the length of my contract and laugh until I went to bed. Repeat until June 2020. Find a lower table Championship club to join, a keep on laughing until my early to mid 30's retire. And laugh some more.

Is it just me who genuinely thinks he’s half decent? Just doesn’t fit into our team.

He is a decent midfielder I've said it on this forum before. I have a good friend who used to referee and he once ref'd a game for Everton's youth side and remembered how much Lundstram stood out. Apparently he ran the show that day. I believe he can rediscover his Oxford form but it probably won't be with us, especially if we gain promotion.

joking aside, I would wait while end of season as he might get a game next season.

If we are still in the same division come end of May there will be bids for 5 of our players and 1 will return to parent loan club as well as the 3 loans from the JTW.

Whether they are on longer contracts or not - everyone has their price and for sure the form of said six won't have gone unnoticed.

Finishing top two (or through the playoffs by hook or by crook) is important for many reasons. Lets hope we do it.

The only important thing is the next game.
