You should all try being police officers. Outnumbered, not allowed to use violence whenever necessary because its apparently never necessary. Try controlling thousands of football fans who turn up late to football matches because they wanted an extra pint in the pub. Try controlling thousands of football fans who are drunk and don't give a fuck about the police. Everyone would run crying to them if their house got burgled or a family member was in a life or death situation, your car got stolen, you saw someone being attacked in the street.

Most of you have very selective memories, you only want to remember the bad and never the good. It's a shame because none of you would want to join the police and risk your lives for members of the public, especially when they call you pigs even though you might be a well natured officer who recently joined the force.

Not every police officer is a 'pig' not every police officer is a twat. Not every police officer involved in the Sheffield Derby actually made the decisions surrounding how many fans are allowed to go to a game. Blame the people at the top, not the people at the bottom.

Just imagine if a member of your family wanted to join the police because they want to protect the public and make a difference to people's lives and people online who don't have a clue who they are just instantly label them as pricks or give them abuse purely just because of the uniform they wear.

You're all cunts if you're that type of person. Waste of oxygen. Just pure shite.

None of you want the police to use stop and search techniques as if you all have something to hide yet it might just stop you from getting stabbed.

Fuck off the lot of ya. Only ever think about yourselves.

I remember the days when one rather large Sargent used to patrol top of the kop in the 70,s you soon calmed down if he was there :D
I may be wrong but I think his name was Smith

You should try being a law abiding sober football fan being hounded into a group just for wearing football colours. Locked in a pub, being told you're not allowed to leave. Being told you must get on a train when you've made plans to see family after a match.

It works both ways. While I've massive respect for the job you do, there is so much room for improvement compared to other forces.

So to use your words "fk the lot of ya"

You can read My posts regarding September 2017. With one exception, (the SYP at the barracks, batons drawn as people got off the tram - didn’t see anyone from Durham or West York’s in riot gear and they were on the tram in small numbers taking a risk) are about the head man and his bunch of desk sharing twats who concocted lies about what happened on the tram and the ten thousand at HC.

I don’t see many verbally abusing the rank and file on here either.

Oh, and re burglary, my eighty year old neighbours got a letter and a crime number. Nothing else.

The rest of it l’d pretty much agree with.

Because there are hundreds of thousands of residents across south Yorkshire. There aren't enough people working in the police to support absolutely everybody

I understand that. Eighty year olds though. You’d have thought someone could have spent an hour reassuring them. “Too busy” doesn’t always cut it. Not when SYP pay someone to post as much shite as they do on social media.

There are certain circumstances where people actually have a bad experience with the police and I completely get that. Just when people just jump on the bandwagon of blaming SYP for literally everything under the sun and every police officer, it boils my piss

See my post #20. The club expresses a desire to house home fans in the UT and away fans in the LT. SAG asks what measures will be put in place to optimise the separation between the fans before they can sanction this. The club then proposes to net off the first five rows. So its the club's decision and not SAG's. Sort of.

Well then the clubs answer should be we've already done it, they're in the bottom section and our fans are in the top

Ok PC Lmaobob
I'm not sure who turned up late last season considering our fans were held up on Hillsborough corner 15 minutes before kick off and didn't get in the stadium until the 30th minute because apparently 10,000 Wendies were tooled up waiting for us.
It was obvious from the half empty stadium for the first half an hour of the game that they were telling the truth

Ayup Lmaobob! When I was a young lad I seriously disliked bobbies, mainly, but not exclusively for political reasons. I lived in the West Midlands in the early 80's, and there was a lot of police "bastardism", for want of a better word. We then had the miner's strike, more grief from coppers. I've grown up since then, and hopefully so have a lot of other people. Some of my family work for SYP, not as bobbies but as civilian staff. Like all public services they've been decimated by years of cuts and austerity. I'm no apologist for the police, but through my work in another public service, and through family, I know a lot about the shit and abuse and complete time wasting bollocks they deal with every day, which most people avoid and walk away from. I no longer believe they're all bastards, as the old song used to say, and I think the rank and file do their best in some pretty grim situations. I wouldn't do it, and in my more recent (and insightful) life, I'm glad some still want to.

From watching the Shoreham View vlog, they all left town an hour before kick off, more than enough time to get to the game, yet still they got in the ground half an hour after KO. The police were an absolute fucking disgrace on that day, both before the game and after it. The amount of time it took us to get away from the ground after the game was fucking ridiculous. Coppers were holding us all back, would let us move 5 yards, then would hold us for another 10 minutes. It must have taken an hour for us to get from the ground to the tram stop at Middlewood.

Another case of SYP not being fit for pupose when it comes to policing football matches

I’m glad you got that off your chest mate.:eek::)

So SAG don’t dictate it and I’m sure I read yesterday that the police will only police what they’re told to. They don’t say anything as to how many.

This leaves us and them.

Suggestions are the allocation is reciprocal. Fair enough. But as we’ve discussed, our ground simply can’t accommodate any more.

This means it’s them lot who are the bastards.

Wednesday bastards.
That shouldn’t be funny but it is.

Everyone would run crying to them if their house got burgled or a family member was in a life or death situation, your car got stolen, you saw someone being attacked in the street.

I wouldn't, because they're useless. I've reported a stolen car and an attempted burglary, they failed to investigate on both occasions.

Not every police officer is a 'pig' not every police officer is a twat. Not every police officer involved in the Sheffield Derby actually made the decisions surrounding how many fans are allowed to go to a game. Blame the people at the top, not the people at the bottom.

And not every football fan is a criminal, though you wouldn't think it based on the way football matches are policed.

The people at the top are the biggest problem, but there's plenty of twat police officers at the bottom, speaking from experience.

You’re right, there are some great coppers out there and generally they do a good job

Traffic coppers are all wankers

And coppers at the football often escalate situations that aren’t even there. Or are nowhere to be seen when they need to be.

Look around other cities and countries of how police treat football fans as people rather than immediately as thugs.

World Cup 2006 was a great example. After tournaments in France and Belgium where the water cannons were out from the first day England arrived, Germany made a different stance. The riot police took off their helmets and stood back, some mingled with fans for photos. The atmosphere was excellent.

If the South Yorkshire police started engaging with local fans rather than antagonising, they may get a more human response
