pigs 6 points from play offs, luckily Bristol City & Middlesbrough both have a game in hand

If West Brom beat Leeds on Friday then we are still guaranteed 2nd spot no matter the result at the sty :p

Leeds and Bristol lost but HMS Piss the league won

And he said in some ways he’d prefer mid table, win a few, lose a few for the rest of the season.

He said if SW end the season strongly and miss out on promotion by 2 or 3 points
He’ll be furious, thinking about all those stupid points they’ve thrown away
And also thinking about what might have been if they’d sacked Jos earlier.

He said missing out on the playoffs by 2 or 3 points would be so so cruel.
Also to be fair I’d rather Wednesday be in good form and confident as they will struggle to find excuses if we outplay them again.

Fook me pal, another Piggy piss this league post OP, you do seem a bit obsessed with the Pork of late. They’ve just beat a team with one away win all this season at Rotherham.

It was great night for us tonight with Leeds and Bristol both losing. We’re going for best of the best or at least top 2, not trying to crawl into 6th place ahead of the other shite teams. IF we don’t make top two and IF they make 6th spot they then become relevant. As it stands now they’re just points up for grabs in our next game, so far behind us in both class, style and points tney should feel privileged to share the same pitch with our boys. :D

3 brilliant results for us :)
Obviously 2 rivals lose points and Wednesday will now come into Mondays game brimming with confidence and full of attacking intent because of their recent glorious victories (no hiding behind the corner flags this time)
Any thoughts that we (fans or players) had that this was going to be a walk-over are surely banished as it will be a real contest.
Up to the players now to turn up for the game and for the fans to steer clear of the Deludomol.
This should be a cracking derby - if we are the best team in Sheffield (and real promotion contenders) Monday will be the game to prove it!

UTB!!

They'll always be the stinky bin diving gutttersnipes of Sheffield of course but that was a good result for THEM.
The other results were good for US.

I'm pretty confident we'll get a result no matter their form.
We just spunked on the tits of west brums wife in their bed ffs. Have some faith.

I'm with Wilder, don't give a fuck what goes on elsewhere, keep our heads down and take each game as it comes. If we are good enough we will go up without relying on anyon else.

Wednesday aren't going up or down. I'd always rather they lose but it doesn't bother me that they beat whoever they beat tonight.

Leeds losing is brilliant for us.

Great night. Wednesday game was irrelevant to us as it was always going to be difficult no matter what form they were in. Worst case scenario now means if we lose on Monday we will be 3 points off automatic. Hardly a disaster.

Its fine lines though. They beat us we're 3 points behind 2nd, they go 3 points behind 6th. Of course there are games in between, but at the end of it, they will always come back to that game as the blame that cost us 2nd place.

They finish 6th, we finish 3rd, they beat us in the play offs, doesn't matter where we finished in the league or how big the "gap" was the season would have turned on its head. For me SWFC is a must win game.

Everyone knows form goes out of the window in derby games. The one who wins is the one who wants it the most

If Wednesday get in the play offs from here with the run in they have then they'll deserve it because they will have likely won at least 8 of their last 12 from the likes of Norwich, Leeds, Bristol City, Derby, Preston, Forest, Villa and us .

If we were playing Hull on Monday people wouldn't be saying it's a must win. It's not a 6 pointer in terms of league positions and it's only the emotion of the game that makes it special. I'd rather draw against Wednesday and beat Leeds.

Has everybody seen the teams that the Pigs have played in their current ‘magnificent’ run? If not, maybe they should take a look before hyperventilating.

There are no must win games for me yet. Last 3,or 4, games maybe that will be the case, but not yet.

Every game from here on in is a cup final, so a must win, the quicker we get those wins the finish line becomes closer and the pressure eases, so for me every game is a must win.

We need the usual 2 points per game to get go 88 points
.2.1 would get us to 90

With this season being 3 clubs even 4 level be lower final totals than last seàon.. 88 could get 2nd or even top

Glad Wednesday won . With their usual logic they are now in champions league form and will sweep us aside to show we are only 2nd down to being lucky. Be even more crushing when we show them the real gulf

They are playing with confidence so are we.bring it on!!

I usually have a dream/premonition before the derby games I did last night and it wasn't good 0-2 for the pigs. I just hope it was their score from last night that was on my mind, bit of a downer from the night before where I was trying to find a football ground somewhere in Holland to see the Blades. Does this mean we lose the derby but still go up and challenge for Europe next season

Some people say it’s only about what we do but that’s obviously not true is it.
Leeds losing gives us breathing space,if WBA beat Leeds on Friday we stay second regardless of the derby result.
