Not even on bookies radar! Lampard is at 25/1 Rowett 33/1bielsa 40/1.
They should be busting their balls to get him. Thank fuck they are not though.

Just shows the power of reputation doesnt it? Lampard has done fuck all to show he should be anywhere near a prem job.

Not a prayer wilder leaves at this point of the season with us in the top 2.
Even if man united come calling!

Why would he want to go there, they've had their day in the sun and are on their way back to mediocrity. Wilder (or anyone else) isn't going to alter this.

They are an established PL club with a core of great young (English) players - Im sure plenty of people will want the job.

Benitez possibly, Rodgers I'm not so sure. Plenty of jobs have passed him by but surely he would be happier in the shooting fish in a barrel job he's got at Celtic?

Rodgers has essentially done all he can at Celtic and has been complaining all season about the lack of backing from the board.

Sold Dembele and Armstrong in the summer without really replacing them, so the team is gong backwards- think he wants to jump ship.

The player putsch of Ranieri was the start.

That was a huge disgrace - they achieved such a ridiculous thing and yet less than a season later they’d ousted the man who orchestrated it all.

I was really pleased when Leicester won the title, now their arrogance annoys me.

No chance their center back isn't as good as our 2 center backs JOC or Enda !

Who wouldn't for £5m a year. It won't make any difference though, they're just one of the 10 clubs who make up the numbers in the Prem and they will be recycled like the rest of them after a few years of getting thrashed by the big dogs. What Leicester did was exceptional but it isn't going to be repeated and they and some of the other dross will be eclipsed by the likes of us, Villa, Boro, Leeds and so on over the next few years.

I agree that they aren't in danger of winning the league any time soon, but as a club, I feel they probabaly share the same aspirations (and more importantly have the financial means) as Wolves, Everton & West Ham to break into the top 6 and possibly win a trophy of some description.

I very much doubt us, Villa, Leeds or anyone else in the championship will be finishing above them any time soon unless they collapse catastrophically.

I do have a feeling in my pipework that they'll get relegated in the near future. I think the core of their side is aging and the good youngster they've got will get cherry picked in the summer. I would hope for his sake that Harry isn't there next season, because he's currently stunting his development.

Cherry picked by who? The teams directly above them can’t afford them and the top team won’t be interested for a few years. The likelihood is one maybe 2 players tops, and that’s not going to rip them apart as their recruiting has been second to none.
Leicester’s biggest risk is the current senior players like Vardy kicking off while a coach tries to alter their style of play. He’s aging and needs replacing but still seems to have a loud voice without accepting the bigger picture which is life without him.

Best man for the job? Easy, it’s Eddie Howe but they’d have to wait for the summer.

Maguire would be of interest to Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, etc. If people are seriously looking at spending £90m for Koulibaly, they can afford Harry. Chilwell has been linked with Man City for £50m. Arsenal are looking at Ndidi. Spurs are looking at Maddison and Everton are looking at Gray.

With regard to Wilder leaving I do fear clubs like Leicester. Not too big that they wouldn’t consider an English manager. They also have a few quid and the lure of Prem football.

Can’t they just take Paul Scholes of Paul Scholes Oldham Athletic fame straight off the peg ?

Thing is though, if Maguire or Chilwell are cherry picked, the club will have plenty of money to source replacements: you'd guess at least £35m each, probably more.

You also have to consider that their penchant for playing young players won't have gone unnoticed by potential recruits. We appear to be on the cusp of young players understanding the importance of game time, with players like Sancho & Hudson-Adoi leaving (or publicly wishing to leave) top clubs in favour of match experience. Should a young player such as Loftus-Cheek finally decide to leave Chelsea, teams like Bournemouth, Everton and Leicester have made themselves attractive propositions.

Can't see them getting relegated personally but stranger things have happened.

I just cannot see CW leaving us for anyone right now. We are riding the crest of a wave & I think he will be looking forward to a future with us & possibly achieving more than any previous SUFC manager. Of course I know that is a long long way off but if we keep steadily improving as a club & matching his personal ambitions just imagine how good that would be!

Arsenal don’t have the budget for anyone from Leicester never mind Harry, and Chelsea can’t afford him either. Man Utd is a possibility but as you say they’ll go for Kouibaly who’s currently a better player.
Teams are looking at players all the time, that doesn’t mean they’re going to pay the enhanced prices they’ll need to for their English talent.

They will and I'm not talking about them specifically, there's 10 or so clubs included. The clubs I mentioned who will supersede them will also fall into the same category so I'm not bigging them up in any way, far from it. The most enjoyable thing about promotion to the Prem is the process of doing it. The ride we're on at the moment will never be beaten by 1 or 2 years up there so enjoy it while you can, the long faces will return once we do it and they'll be heaping the blame on Wilder for the shortcomings as they did with Warnock once we're up there.

Anyway, who gives a fuck about Leicester?

I'm sure they will share ambitions, the difference being that clubs like LCFC, Wolves, West Ham and Everton actually have a realistic chance thanks to their infrastructure, finances and already strong squads.

Teams like us, Leeds and Villa seem to be a long way off that level.

It is enjoyable watching your team going up, but once you're there you have to change your ambitions.

Fighting relegation is the 1st step, followed by consolidation. After that point you have to be either very wealthy or very creative (often both) to make further progress.

The reason why there were many long faces during our last stint in the PL, under Warnock, is that we failed at the first hurdle: we wasted the little money we had and went straight back down.

Anyway, who gives a fuck about Leicester?

Me. :)
I watch as much PL football as I do United, so I'm interested in most of the teams involved; I wouldn't mind seeing some new faces in the top 6.

They've got no chance. Leicester, Wolves and West Ham will be down in 3 years. Everton seem to have more lives than a cat.

Exactly my point. It won't be a thrill a minute and the outcome will be inevitable.

"Little" is the correct word and is the reason we went down. It's easy to waste 50p. Robson got a larger budget the following year in a lower division. That's what you call waste. As I've explained before, unless the Prince and McCabe settle their differences there won't be any money to waste as they won't be releasing their share of the premiership proceeds when there's an even chance they won't be seeing it again.

If you think you'll still be using the forum in 3 years time, if he happy to make a bet with you that this won't be the case - I think you're completely wrong.

If you have a limited budget, that's all the reason to spend it more wisely. Rather than buy countless players who you don't play (Sommeil, Shelton, Fathi, Kilgallon etc.)

Based on the fact we only narrowly went down, if Warncock spent the money wisely, there's a good chance we would have stayed up.

I think you are too. Stalemate. Daft argument isn't it?

I'd say the probability is very high we would be back down within 1-2 years

That's the same as saying Wilder would have got us up last year if he'd spent the money more wisely in the JTW instead of buying countless players he didn't play. It's easy being a master of hindsight isn't it? The fact is neither of them had sufficient funds to get the right players in to get the job done.

The only Championship manager they would currently look at is at Leeds.
