Definitely given Wilder a decision to make with big games coming up, although could arguably have made his job easier in terms of being comfortable with players stepping in when required. Cranie's been excellent these last 2 games and was my MOTM on wednesday night

Done a great job in the last two games. He could keep his place if Freeman and Baldock are both injured.

Stop teasing .

I saw the word used earlier to describe a Blade who played superbly today. I thought it must be a compliment. I wanted to show that I appreciated Crainie’s performance. Have I got something wrong? Maybe if I said he was juicy as well it would be okay?

Two wrongs don't make a right .

Just following your lead.

Madine was absolutely superb today and deserves nothing but praise and appreciation. Then along comes you...

He does 100%, proper Bassett type performance from him.

I don’t know you, and I’m happy about that, but I do wish you’d get a life.

Best 'traditional' Centre Forward performance I've seen from a United player in a long time (Sharp has some elements of that to his game, but he's more a poacher). He barely put a foot wrong. Or a head, or chest, for that matter.

As for Cranie, I missed the Boro game so I was pleased to see that the effusive praise I heard of his performance in that one was merited again today. I'm glad Wilder and the team managed to see enough in training etc to know he was worth a contract extension.

Same rules apply, same comment applies. Night you sad bastard.

What applies to what? I’m not sad. I’m drinking a delightful bottle of red and toasting Gary Madine. It’s part of my continuing quest to obtain a life.

After the Barnet fiasco I was of the opinion our squad players were shite, but wow have they stepped up in the last couple of games.
Even M. Johnson had a a decent game today.

Gonna stop being cruel now, however hard it is. Enjoy your wine. Up The Blades

I will, thank you. I wouldn’t say you were cruel.

I’m very impressed with Crainie by the way. I simply gained the impression that ‘cunt’ was now the customary way to address a player who had just excelled for our team.

A mate of mine lives by the doctrine that everyone is a cunt until proven otherwise, perhaps it’s the same for many of our forum members.

Let’s hope it’s twisted further in a couple of weeks...

I asked my brother-in-law (the only Wednesdayite in the family) if he ever recalled Madine being a good footballer. He described him as "a thug on and off the pitch, a bully, scored some decent goals, but I don't think we ever thought of him as a good 'footballer' as such."

I explained that something has changed then, because there was more to him than just a good centre-forward these past few games.

Including being anything but a thug on the pitch. His conduct is exemplary.

Happily, the vast majority of sensible Blades are thoroughly enjoying what he’s doing in our shirt. No wonder. It’s very, very good.

I'll be honest I thought his excellent game against us last season was down to wimpish defending but since he's been here he's played equally as well ,his link up play is up there with the great deano himself and I thought against Boro he turned the game as I thought we looked a bang average side without the overlapping o'Connell and basham and lacked options until he came on

Wilders made some great signings this season but so far madine tops the lot
