I don't think signing Camara will have anything to do with Killa going in Jan,it's pretty certain he's going to go no matter how many or few players we sign.

As for writing off a 20year old before he's even had a full season with us, well done with your patience.
If you hadn't noticed he does score quite afew for Wales and I believe he will start scoring for us when the team is back to full stregnth.
But having written him off already you probably don't see that.

I've seen how he plays and he has limited skill, no pace, no positional sense, can't win the ball in the air and is rarely involved.
The same kind of thing was said about Billy Sharp for months and months about how he'd come good despite the evidence before our eyes week in, week out.

So that means every striker/forward anything bad is said about will turn out just like Billy Sharp?
I'm willing to give Evans the benefit of the doubt and some time to get going, you obviously aren't.
Not much more to say really.

Other than the signings of Cresswell and Camara indicate what Blackwell also thinks.

Its all just papering over the cracks and a desperate act by McCabe and Blackwell to appease the fans. I know I am negative but dont let it pull the wool over your eyes!

Len - its more likely that with Evans being young and relatively inexperienced that Blacky is seeking to protect him - and some of the other younger players - from the more vocal know it alls.
Anyway - any chance of your famous prediction of doom for the game to give a chance of getting out of this bad patch?.

Past caring about the results at the moment TH.
Winning on Saturday would prove nothing. What we really need is a sign of leadership and real direction from the top.
And it's nowt to do with protecting him, he's just been very, very poor.

lads its alright slating Len but to me its also pretty obvious.

Blackwell's problem is he chops and changes too much If Evans was really worth £3m, or however much we paid but at least £2m, he should have been good enough to go straight in the side and stay there. So why didn't Blackwell put him straight in and leave him there? If he wasn't good enough we shouldn't have wasted virtually our entire transfer budget on him should we?

Evans can't get in the team and the manager signs two new forwards and you really can't see any indication of what the manager thinks?

I can see what the manager thinks but I dont necessarily agree. Evans has not got off to the best of starts, but i do see flashes of potential in him.

His goal record at Wales U21 level indicates he is not a complete mug.

His partnership with Henderson does not seem to work, but when he replaced Henderson against Derby away I thought he led the line quite well and looked lively.

It seems its Blackwells view that he needs protecting and bringing on gradually, my view is perhaps he needs more responsibility and a run of games.

To that end I would ideally start with Evans and Ward up front when fit and lets see us try and move defenses around instead of lumping balls upfront to a static Henderson. Its too obvious and too easy to defend against.

I don't know how many games you've seen but in all those I've seen Henderson has done all the work, made all the movement and Evans has done sod all and been a complete passenger.
Henderson and Ward would be a far better pairing.

To be fair given that our only fit forwards were Evans and Henderson, Blackwell had to get in a couple more whatever he thinks of Evans.

Well he has scored the same number of goals and has more assists than Henderson in 4 less starts, so perhaps his lazy arse needs to be on the pitch more often.

true Darren, but given our injury situation how come Evans isn't a permanent fixture upfront? to spend the money we did on him and him not be an automatic first choice is just crazy!!

I know Mccabe is taking some stick at the minute but if you look what we've spent on forwards in both fees and wages its ridiculous that we are struggling upfront.

Hendo £2.2m Evans £3m, Ward £500k and both Cresswell and Camara will be on good money. There won't be many clubs in our division who have spent more on strikers than that. We could have had Chopra for what Evans cost!!!!!!!! The problem appears to be with whoever is signing the forwards!!

When you play one up front like we do away then Ched isn't going to start.
He is'nt a lone front man, you can't blame him for that.
Likewise you can't compare him to Cresswell they aren't the same type of player and don't play the same position.

No thanks, he's annoyed the hell out of me every time I've seen his lazy arse strolling around in a red and white shirt.
His attitude stinks and is so much at odds with his lack of ability it is truly frightening anyone would pay good money for him.

Good to see your open to Evans proving you wrong!

I like this from the Fiver:

Sheffield United will pay Henri Camara's doctor's bills for the rest
of the season in return for a mutual pretence that he may recover
from career-knack and play for them at some point.

Good to see your open to Evans proving you wrong!

I'll be delighted if he suddenly remembers he should actually move about a bit on the pitch, find space, run occasionally, win a header or two and scores 20 goals as a result.
I'll also be completely shocked.

I see your PC's reliability issues seem to have have improved Len.
It's been running for the past couple of weeks without a single outage.

Don't see how you can knock the lad for scoring the same amount of goals and creating more then Hendo in less starts.

I'd also be interested in the last 20 year old to score 20 goals in a Championship season as I can't ever remember one. Chopra was the closest I can remember but he was a couple of years older.

I would suggest 15 goals in his first season would be a more realistic target.

Don't understand the PC comment.
I can knock him because he's been absolutely crap and incredibly lazy at the same time, making Henderson do all the work and often getting nowhere near him in support every time I've seen him play.

You say you can't knock him, then you go and knock him
Is it me or does that just no make sense.

He says he can knock him Sensi, Flatulent Bob said "how can you knock him" :D

Interesting terms, absolutely crap and incredibly lazy at the same time.

I'm no Hendo hater but what you are saying is that he has been more effective then Hendo while being crap and not trying. Whereas Hendo has been working his backside off with lesser results. From this you have decided that what we need to do to move forward is sell the younger, more effective player and stick with the trier who is producing less.
