You have to credit them with the comeback
They got a slight smell of blood when we conceded one and they moved in for the kill like a great white shark
They bit our arm off, watched us panic, swam around and then.........BANG

When the board said 5 - reckon most blades knew we'd concede. Spirit and formation had been shattered.

Roy, have you ever come across another forum doing similar to this? A "view from some other club's view from Sheffield" would be entertaining

Thanks Roy. We are still doing a lot of things right when you get comments like that. Hope Wilder, his team and the players learn a great deal about themselves from last night and use the disappointment as a springboard starting on Wednesday.

Benjamin Bloom's piece is good up until about 13 minutes then it describes the collapse. He really looks as though he felt it the same as us. A closet Blade?

Don’t think Smith will last there too long. Many of their fans far from convinced.

I didn't want to read this weeks view from, but having done so I feel a bit better about our performance and how a decent set of fans see us. Put this down to an aberration. Their last comment is a beauty:
“Better football. Better fans. Best in Sheffield."

I was so angry last night, really really pissed off. I am still pissed off but the anger has gone a bit

Boro 1 Leeds 1 is a good result for us, it keeps Boro at bay and stops Leeds opening up a bigger gap, but how much better would it have been if we'd just played the game out last night
We now want a draw between Derby and Hull, A draw between Blackburn v Bristol, Brentford to beat Forest, and Stoke to beat West Brom

Then if Ipswich can do the impossible against their carrot crunching neighbours tomorrow I might calm down a bit

Seeing as someone always accuses one comment of being from a Pig infiltrator in these, can I say spot the Blade infiltrator in amongst those.

Some really good comments there, from intelligent football fans. I am going to be a little controversial and say that 99 times out of 100, play that game again, 0-3 up on 81 mins and Hendo doesn't make that first mistake. It was a bit of a freak end to the game.

That performance was amongst the best i've seen from us under Wilder for 81 mins.... It went to ratshit as we all know. Fair enough, we got a draw.

The referee gave most decisions fairly, we perhaps got away with a but and the Billy's 2nd was debatable from where the ref was stood.

This comment though, yeah apart from 3 goals we didn't threaten them. Except we battered them with wave after wave.

“Sheffield can’t really complain at a draw as Villa felt the referee gave them every decision.
Other than the 3 goals (one of which was illegal) what else did the Villa keeper have to do? I can’t think of one other save he had to make”

I actually expected them to be bitter and pissed off about our 2nd goal and the 2 penalty shouts that weren't given, which they have every right to be, saying that a draw was the very least they deserved. If the situation was reversed, I'm pretty sure that's how Blades would have reacted, so fair play to them.

QPR 0 Birmingham 4 after 30 odd minutes
QPR 3 Birmingham 4 after 80 minutes

Could both Birmingham clubs be involved in some crazy scorelines this week

Gillingham 0 Barnsley 3 after 80 minutes
Gillingham 1 Barnsley 3 after 81 minutes

Mmmm

Mk Dons used to do it but the last season we were in League One they seemed to have done away with it. Forest do it on their board. The guy who does theirs accused me of only picking out the negative comments for ours so I now see him as my main enemy.

Thanks Roy. Didn't really want to read that at first but glad I did, Villa fans have shown some class there & been very honest, proper fans.

Oops :(
