Scores a hit trick goes off at 0-3 up and then the old united turn up !

Thought Mcgoldrick was shite when he came on

Not sure of the subs made

Hendo was fuckin weak

I thought McGoldrick was wank when he came on. When Sharp and Madine went off, the lads coming on needed to keep up the physicality and nuisance. The Villa defence became more relaxed and played abit more after them two went off.

yh that sub cost us when dowell was getting confidence to run forward after 3-0 up. I blame norwich for putting 10 men behind ball that time, wilder has played it ever since

What upset me was it smacked to me like big time time charlie attitude of Mcgoldrick but he did fuck all tonight .
I am not saying its totally his fault, but hey its happened lets get over it and fuckin learn from it

Fuckin BILLY SHARP though 33 and puts in a performace like that fuckin wonderful

Surprised Billy didn't put his back out carrying that fucking shower.

If McGoldrick plays a simple ball to Enda instead of shooting from a tight angle we go 4-0 up. Complacency cost us that tonight.
No it didn’t.

2 mistakes from Henderson and a mistake from O’Connell cost us 2 points. We were never complacent. We were quite magnificent actually for 80 of the 90 minutes.

Try watching it again maybe?

It's semantics really - i call it dropping off or complacency, you call it individual errors. Same thing for me. Hendo "drops off" at the corner and maybe on the second goal, someone doesn't keep an eye on Abraham at the back post. We did so brilliantly for the first 80 mins, i honestly think the errors came about due to us thinking it was in the bag. Third goal sees us in full panic mode.

It doesn't matter how good you are for 80 minutes if you cram as much bad into the final 10 as good into the previous 80. You still only get one points. There's no marks for being better for longer.

It wasn't a magnificent performance. If it was, we would have won.

Billy was furious when he received the MOTM he looked like someone was going to get bollocked, enda and deano were at it with each other, needed I feel after calamity defending/goal keeping.

When Wilder ran over at the end he got a great applause from us as did Billy and the rest of the lads, including Hendo, after the lads and us fans get over this we’ll all realise what a great club we have right now and really kick on, Wilder won’t let complacency set in like that ever again.

Billy Sharp is fucking outstanding by the way and made me have a sex wee in the second half, I like them moments. :)

The coaching staff and sports psychologists (do we still have them?) have a key role this week. Henderson and JOC have hardly made a mistake all season, and for 3 error-strewn goals to go in in 10 minutes was freakish, and suggests they went from confidence to over-confidence to panic in record time. It is important to keep the players' confidence levels high, because the tension is going to be horrible the next time we are defending a lead. Concentration and confidence will be the key; we saw what can happen with over-confidence and panic.

One factor was probably that we had so many things go for us for 80 minutes. On another day, the defender would have been 2 inches further forward for our first goal, the referee would have disallowed the second, and we would have been scrapping for our lives cursing our bad luck. But the footballing gods were on our side for 80 minutes, it was surely our night... Lessons learnt?

Not sure I have ever seen a trick scored from a combined / total distance of about 4 yards before !!

Those fans who are laying the blame at Wilder's door for making the substitutions should cast their minds back to other games when we have been ahead with 10 mins remaining. He's done that many times and it's not been a problem before. He did it last week versus Bolton for example. Individual errors. You can't legislate for that. The big question now is whether Henderson in particular will keep the shirt on Wednesday night? What would you do if you were Wilder? ( I hear some Blades fans were shouting for him to be sent back to Man U after the game - so obviously we know what some of them would do! They'd wreck our club if they had any say in it!).

Personally I'd stick with him. He's been one of the most consistent performers this season and has saved us far more points than he's cost us. It's poor that he made 2 mistakes that turned a certain win into a draw, but I don't think that constitutes a loss of form. A loss of concentration maybe, but not a loss of form. He'd keep the shirt for me until such a time as it looks like he's lost form.

Not sure there is a case for dropping Hendo at all, yes he made a mistake v Weeds & the two last night, but they looked like a loss of concentration to me & not a loss of form. If you dropped a keeper everytime he made a mistake you would totally destroy his confidence. I mean would you drop J'OC for his mistake last night? No you wouldn't, he had a magnificent game up to that point I thought & over the last few games has looked to be back to his best form, Fleck also has upped his game for the last two, we have loads of talent in this side & they don't deserve to have question marks against them every time an error is made. That doesn't mean they are beyond criticism, but believe me no one hurts more than them when they do.

I think the whole nation thought we’d won it at 3-0 up. I turned to the missus and said, “Petunia, open me a bottle of Double Diamond, we’re going to celebrate tonight, and get yourself a wee nip of Sanatogen an’ all whilst you’re at it’.

Then it all turned sour!

Last time she had Sanatogen the same thing happened. That was back in 1967. I’ve told her to bloody stay off it for good now!

We'd have probably won a game like that because the stupidity of the last 8 minutes probably wouldn't have occurred

Some one love yer Bill , this Young Lass is great come across her blogs when we played Bolton go to 5. 24 for our man in her team of the season so far .

My Dad had said Billy was passed it. So I reminded him of that comment yesterday, when I went to visit..My Dad, in turn, reminded me, that his comment was made last season...I knew full well it was :p...No reason to give an 84 year old a break though ...We both love Billy after all :):)....UTB

Those fans laying the blame at Wilder’s door would have also have blamed him if he’d made no subs and the same thing happened. It’d be ‘Why didn’t Wilder run the clock down and break up the play by bringing subs ON? He can’t win. They can’t accept that we lost due to human errors, obviously because they never make mistakes.

As for those allegedly calling for Henderson to be sent back to ManU, utter dickheads or undercover Pigs plain and VERY simple. He’s been an integral part of this fantastic team that’s got us to where we are. We all hurt on Friday, I couldn’t sleep for playing it around in my head, but boy some always go way OTT just like they did with Norwood and even Sharp at the first opportunity. The concept of throwing the baby out with the bath water is a mystery to them.

The only thing I’d have done different is I’d have left Billy on till the last minute as they were shit scared of him and him going off st 3-1 might have given them another lift, but it’s easy being wise after the event.
