Sorry - I had to Google ''Mick Foley" to find out who he is.

#metoo.

Apparently he's an award winning author as well. Never in to Wrestling myself so all this sock stuff is lost on me.

Understand from reading tweets it was for one of Billy's mates I think. Nice touch and some good publicity for the club/Billy.

Play off final , extra time 0-0. Cactus jack music hits, runs on the pitch , billy crosses it in BANG BANG.

Madine get's upset that Cactus is getting more game time than him so McCabe sanctions a Cactus Jack vs Gary Madine - Shoreham Street Fight.

I'm from the era of Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Rollerball Rocco, Kendo Nagasaki, Catweasel, etc.
ITV World of Sport, Sat 4pm - they had latest scores flash up on the screen as well...state-of-the-art technology at the time!

Yep, me too. Ken Walton I think was the commentator.
When not at the Lane, was at my grandads on Margaret Street, 1 minutes from John Street watching for Uniteds score to pop up on the vidiprinter.

Wrestling, football results, then switch over for The Basil Brush Show, followed by Dr. Who

I saw a documentary either on him or featuring him (can't quite remember) a few years ago. How that man is still alive and not broken into several pieces is beyond explanation.

You always knew that a Submission was imminent whenever the "Surfboard" manoeuvre was performed.

I remember the wrestling every Saturday afternoon on the World of Sport in the late 70’s.

Mick McManus, Jackie Pallow, Crybaby Jim Breaks with his Jim Breaks specials, Clive Ironfist Myers, Johnny The Saint, Big Daddy Shirley Crabtree, Giant Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki, Cat Weasel, Mark Rolloball Rocco.

Always use to amaze me how there used to be so many female pensioners in the audience and a few would hit the baddy wrestlers with their hand bags.

I worked at the City Hall in the early 90’s when they did a 1-off British wrestling special. Alan Kilby was in a tag team with his young son Adam Kilby. The audience was a strange mix of young teenage boys not girls, female pensioners not male pensioners and also quite a few males in the audience with Downes Syndrome.
