Pre-Match View From Swansea

The Swansea fans will be in for a big shock when we have spells of playing them off the park.
All the statistics prove that we are the most attacking team in the division, we also arguably play the best football.

I predict the Swans reaction will be that Saturday will be one of their worse performances of the season.
See the pattern?..........most opposition teams can’t get the ball off us so can’t build up a spell of pressure, hence the “we never turned up/ worse performance of the season” comments.

“The Swans had a great win in Sheffield on the opening day of the season but it will be tough to repeat that at the Liberty. I’d call the Blades a typical Championship side, big and physical with limited football ability- the type of side we struggle with at the Liberty.”

And you sir, I'd call a fucking idiot. When was the last time you saw us, 2006?

Cheers Roy

The "big and physical" thing is inexcusable really. If you think you know enough about football to post on a football forum then surely you have a basic idea of how teams in your own division play.
Thanks for the view form Panchero !
Agree with you on this but based on some of the people who populate BDTBL on match day there are a shit load of people without a clue on football

Thanks Roy.

I know that this bellend has been outed above...“ I’d call the Blades a typical Championship side, big and physical with limited football ability- the type of side we struggle with at the Liberty.”.......but really how out of touch with reality are so called football fans of other teams, I hope we give them a football masterclass & come back home with all three points. They won't know what hit them!
I’m guessing that’s not from Bielsa.

Saw this comment on Twitter the other day...

Who in our league wouldn't want Norwood or Sharp??

To be fair the guy posts negative stuff about every team they are about to play just to get a reaction. Then he judges how good the opposition fans banter is. Quite funny to be fair .

Another PG then, buys his girlfriends from Primark's sock section.

Email from my Swans mate after I told him that I expect us to start with the same 11 as last match.

"Potter tends to rotate and we do not normally have unchanged line up.

It should be Mulder, Naughton, Grimes, Rodon, Van Der Hoorn, Fer, Fulton, Routledge, Dyer, Celina/James, McBurnie/Baker-Richardson

Bony could start? Montero on the bench"

Is he talking about the 4-0 game about seven years ago? Or is this Wednesday-levels of exaggerating a result :D

7th May, 2011 - last day of the season. We were about to get relegated to Division One and Swansea were going up to the PL.

All as detailed in the rather excellent 'More Memries of Swansea'. :D

That fucks me right off, we play some of the best football in the league.

Doesn’t fuck me off. I’d rather all teams thought that. Means we get totally underestimated!

This numpty also put the following on Twitter "

Some facts on our next opponents...the 'mighty' Sheffield United Nickname: The Blades Biggest trophy won: League One 2017 Record transfer fee: £4 million Average away attendance: 358 Current status: Dramatically overachieving

Clearly he is not very bright so I wouldn't take a lot of notice. UTB

Agree.....it just shows how reputations from the Bassett and Warnock days stick.
Even the media were guilty of calling us a “big physical well organised side” when we first came up to the Championship.
Now the presenters and commentators on Sky Sports seem to love us and always tend to talk us up.

They should have kept Fernandez. I thought he had a good game against us. I’d say that since the opening game, we’re stronger and they’ve weakened.

I hope to god we play the long ball to Madine if only just for the last 10 mins to live up to our stereotype. Looking forward to the view from already.

By big they might be talking about the fat lad from shefield utb

Indeed. But that’s the stereotype we have brought upon ourselves down the decades

That may be true, but as relevant as calling me a Ginger (nothing wrong with that BTW) when I've been pretty much bald since I was 23.
