Ask me about Updog...
Didn't this lead to moral panic and the media saying the ad should be banned? Clackers went the same way in the 1970s.
yes - they changed the ad afterward so that the fat orange lad kissed the bloke drinking the Tango

If they play anything like they did at the Lane he's going to have to do something to keep busyI really hope Hendo has something very very special lined up for the Pigs kop on the evening of March 4th

To carry off the things he does he has to be a good player ,and he is a very good player.
Makes me look back at how Nigel Spackman looked at and ignored my 5 year old asking him for an autograph in the South stand car park. I should have washing machined that cunt right there and then. Donachie wet nursed the useless wanker through management anyway.
I always say this but I remember Warnock talking about players doing community work and he said something like "There's a lot of players who'll be forgotten in ten years time. They ought to think about how they'll feel when the line for autographs stop."
Mark Patterson managed to sign an autograph for a ten year old PokerBlade without looking away from his conversation.
And for all anyone says about him now, when my mate was doing work experience in the offices at the Lane, Warnock spotted him and offered to take him to watch the team train. When he said he didn't have a coat (it was pissing it down outside), Warnock left, and came back five minutes later with a brand new one from the club shop for him.
Similarly, one birthday my Mum went to get me a new shirt and spotted Steve Bruce in the car park, she asked if he'd sign something for me. He took her into the shop, told them she was a friend of hers and to give her a staff discount, got me an autograph book, told her to hang on and came back with his and Dellas' autograph on it.
It makes a difference, and a difference that can last. My Dad used to take a friend of mine to some matches when we were younger. He was a Leeds fan but went with us to some games. Leeds played at the lane, we waited for the Leeds team to come out of the John Street entrance afterwards so he could get autographs of his heroes, the whole lot blanked him. We were there when Liverpool played, he wanted to get some of their autographs; Keegan, Toshack, Smith, Heighway and Clemence waited in line to sign his book, Clemence with a massive gash and bruise on his face (Dearden, I think). Liverpool got beat, Leeds won easily. To that impressionable young man, it made a big impact. He's in his 25th year as a Liverpool season ticket holder.
The PR and community stuff the club does can have a long lasting impact. To be fair, McCabe has always recognised it and encouraged the club to get involved.
So your assuming we will score and may be win ? Dangerous game that one , don't get too cocky or it will bite you in the arse .I really hope Hendo has something very very special lined up for the Pigs kop on the evening of March 4th

My lad had a birthday party at the Lane the night before we played Liverpool away in the semi ,the coach was in and Warnock sent Kenny ,Jags ,Tongue and Monty up to say hello and sign autographs. After one of the parents asked Warnock for an autograph for her little one as he got on the bus ,he walked past and got on the bus ,she thought what a twat ,then he came off the bus and held it up while he spent about 20 minutes talking to the little ones. Top top bloke Warnock away from the touchline.I always say this but I remember Warnock talking about players doing community work and he said something like "There's a lot of players who'll be forgotten in ten years time. They ought to think about how they'll feel when the line for autographs stop."

My mates son that he loves hendo
My little brother loves him too, as do I. He's got the top with his name on too.
Only problem. He's 23.![]()
I am sat here with a lump in my throat and a choke in my voice. What a guy!
I’ve said it before, these little gestures and moments spending time with people are priceless and Hendo gets a big thumbs up from me. If I was that lad who got given those gloves I would still have them now. Looking at his age it would probably have been Tomlinson/Budgie’s gloves I got.
If he Carrie's on with his showmanship I doubt it'll endear him to those at manure.
Keep it up Hendo!
I just want to go on record to say what an absolute hero of mine he has become........and I am 62! Apparently in the recent weeks, he has given his gloves, boots and a full kit to kids who requested or are ill. What a refreshing change from a young man who is, don’t forget, only on loan! I would love him to be ours permanently but I think I am only dreaming. Hats off to you Deano. I hope you read this because I truly believe you are not only a great goalie but, more importantly, a very decent guy who makes his family proud!
She doesn’t live here any more......
thought she had a room on the second floor?
Did she leave a forwarding address though?

Yes he did Bob ,when we played a pre season at Worksop ,Geary was warming up and our young un shouted to him and showed he had his name on the back of his shirt before he was really popular ,at the end of the game he came over and gave him all sorts of bits including his shirt , it fitted him of courseDidn't Del Geary give one of your lads his shirt, or am I imagining it ?
The BBC have a helicopter? In the old days they would turn up in a transit van and a load of baseball bats. Tsk modern day hooligans don’t realize how good they’ve got itShe used to room on the second floor.
I think the BBC helicopter and SYP drove her away
