Has Bash been doing extra training with Ollie Norwood? Don’t know whether anyone else has noticed but all of a sudden seems to have gained the ability to ping some outstanding cross field passes. One of my favourites of the current crop.

I have noticed, Bash has been one of our best players this season, he’s been very good in most games. His passing and surges forward with the ball have been a joy to watch.

I’m glad you’ve lightened my mood. :)

The pass for the late goal against Norwich to McG was sublime.

Norwood would have put that on his highlight reel.

The ones in Broomhill after dark??

Credit to Bash he has very much upped his game since we returned to the Championship. I thought he would eventually be let go as we went about improving the squad.

Blade too long will look at the thread title and claim his neighbour drives one.....

That is the pass of the season so far.
Yes he runs like a pissed giraffe on ice
This is what I said on another thread.
The Bambi thing, think that what fools most people including the opposition. Everyone thinks he's losing control when on the run but watch close and his control is fantastic. His decision making is the best of all our squad.
Also Danny04 pointed out the fine site of him marauding forward.
He is not one for that self proclaimed football purist who tries to preach and put down all other views but Bashams self development and/or the influence of CW/AK is something rare and special in the footballing world.
For a player that non of us knew and we probably all said "who, lets see if he can do a job for us?" To the Diamond we have got now is quite remarkable and something to continue to enjoy and celebrate.

Massive respect to anyone who grafts their proverbials off to get as good as they possibly can be. He’s a credit to himself.

We’re fortunate to have more than a few who will run until they drop for the cause. Bash is one of them.

He's been able to do that since birth.

All praise Basham.

If he's started taking lessons off Norwood most of them will end up out of play or with the opposition.

Pressure creates diamonds.

Adkins in!

I'd like to thank Chris Basham for proving me wrong. I honestly thought he'd fall down the pecking order over the last 2 seasons but full credit to him.

There's no doubt he's adapted his game to play at this level. Always thought he had a bit of a clanger in him at League One level but as others have said his range of passing and his control of the ball is ourstanding for a centre half. Hes improved year on year and has made that CB spot his own and I'm glad he has. The strenghtening of the midfield has also helped in that regard as he doesn't now need to fill in there as much which means he can just concentrate on his role in that position.

Above all else he is a consumate professional who lives and breathes Sheffield United. A real unsung hero of the Wilder era.
