They attacked us in the home game and caused us loads of problems. I hope they do sit back, sounds like it doesn't suit them.

Thought the young right back with the big hair (Reece James from Chelsea on loan) was fantastic against us as well.

Scored 14, conceded 12 in 12 home games. Looks likely to be a close 1. 1-1 or 2-1 either way

Thanks Roy. Fairly uninspiring comments there, fans obviously have no faith in their team, which is nice. Come on Blades get 'em smashed for a great return from the Christmas period!

“maybe a 5-5-0 for this one. Hopefully we just sit on the nil-nil from the off, play plenty sideways and backwards passes and the big boot to no bugger up top. No doubt that would be the right way to play rather than just go at them from the off.”

They've been reading the Jos Lucky (sic) coaching manual.....

Many thanks Roy, you've been busy of late hope you have had chance to enjoy the festive period.

All the best for the new year.

Wasn't Evans their player of the year when we signed him ?, soon changed their tune, though he is playing at a higher level. Tough game this, Evans or no Evans.

From what I’ve seen Sheffield play variation of a 3-4-3 with the wing backs attacking like wingers and the left and right centre half acting like full backs. They play a system bit like what we did in that 4 month epic spell under Roberto when we went from garbage to world beaters almost over night but instead of having the left and right of the front wide they play more of a triangle with a main pairing and one behind. So i think the 4-1-4-1 we used in the first half against Swansea would be a sensible way to go as they are very fluid in their shape so we will need to control the midfield if we want to have any hope of getting a result.”

New years resolution mate, get out a bit more..

Cheers.

Rather uneventful comments. Although I'm glad the Wigan fans agree on my views of Lee F'kn Evans.

Let’s be fair when Evans first joined us he looked decent quality, we were all reasonably impressed.
He’s calm and composed on the ball. Also excellent at short passes to feet retaining possession.

The problem is he’s the king of the sideways and backwards pas, he’s far too safe.
Also he’s quite slow and not great in the tackle. He’s a solid 6, occasionally 7 out of 10 every match.

looking at comments from the promoted sides playing last yrs 2nd then 1st. it does put into perspective what a great job did wilder did coming 10th last yr. even when like someone said on Sunday supplement about Tottenham. they are victim of their own success as they keep raising expectations & call him a failure for not winning the title but forget about transfer fees & wage budgets in comparison to rivals
