At Bramall Lane, I like the traditional position of the away fans behind the goal.

Other grounds hide them away in a high corner, therefore losing atmosphere.

We embrace the noise that away fans help to create, feed off the attritional vibe...and win.

Other teams / grounds could learn from us.

We just want the Bramall Lane upper tier for ourselves and it would be awkward to push fans into the Pukka Pies corner.

I don't want any teams to learn from us. Sod em.

Wolves have got it spot on from there own point of view. Away fans side of the pitch spread out in a long thin line making it almost impossible to generate any noise while having 2 ends well stocked with vocal home support sucking the ball in. A huge advantage for them.

I watched the old firm derby over the weekend and Celtic were allocated about 12 tickets and stuck over to the side. Ruined the atmosphere and made it almost impossible for Celtic to win.

I agree with the OP. Stick them behind the goal and bring on the banter/pantomime heckling.

Personally I miss the away fans having the top and bottom tiers.
Obviously most clubs and games wouldn't require that but seeing a full stand and bank of fans silenced as we score was amazing.
If the view from the BLUT wasn't so good I'd give it the away fans all the time.
I don't want to give the away team an advantage but it seems like the more noise they make the more noise we would make anyway.
I sat on the kop against the pigs and honestly I didn't hear a peep from them and if anything it spoilt the experience a bit.

And can also charge more for these seats too. Not so important in the premiership as it’s always a sell out but in the championship it’s why a lot of teams do this.

Just leave it alone, Bramall Lane is fine the way it is, apart from the kop stantions.

How often did we ever give the whole BL end to aways fans? Just the big cup games when we were obligated to do so....maybe. We didn’t even give BLUT away in our last stint in the Prem. The last league game that I can remember was Wendy in league One. Can’t remember if Bolton had both?

BLUT should remain as a “home” area until significant improvements are made to the Kop.

It was Rangers who instigated this (Celtic are doing the same in return) but judging by the result it worked for them. I don’t agree with it at all. I’m with you all the way but can see why clubs do it

I agree mate. Both clubs did it, but it's a poor show in my view.

They should remodel the Bramall Lane end so that away fans can have the top tier and bottom tier about a third of the way across from the John Street side, then United fans can have the bottom and top tier plus the corner

The thing is that both clubs can sell out to their own fans every game. Ibrox in particular, is not big enough for the Rangers support. I agree with the sentiment you express because a decent away following contributes greatly to a vibrant atmosphere. As for the Lane, I`d let the present arrangements stand. I don`t see why the entire BL lower shouldn`t be sold to away fans.

In fairness from experience Rangers Celtic is a whole different level of fan fuckwittery to what we see here so I can understand it

Limiting the away support at grounds kills the atmosphere , just wish they’d change John St from family only stand or make it half near Kop end .
Atmosphere would be a better

Sorry it wasn’t. Celtic did it first, they announced during the close season that they were restricting tickets for the Rangers game, Rangers then followed suit , The first game between them this season was at Celtic Patk

I’m only going on what I read in the paper mate. Rangers announced there intentions before the season started so Celtic followed suit. ...... but we are talking newspapers here so it could be bollocks :)

You're both right, in a way. Its just another example of tit for tat nonsense which fuels the bigotry up there.
