⚔️ Chris Wilder is not underestimating the challenge posed by a very good West Brom team.

"It's us against them, their good players against our good players, their good team against ours - it's about time we won a big game."

I'm sure we can all sit quietly watching WBA spray the ball around whilst listening to the bottom tier sing about a library.

We don't get behind the team anywhere near the level we should at home. We need to make it intimidating like it used to be.

{Tin hat on} ready for all the "it's the fans fault" comments.

Playing in a library didn’t stop Arsenal winning the title.

It didn't help though. Noisy atmospheres which roar on the home team (and pick on the away team) can definitely be beneficial.

Home fans are pretty much the same everywhere, sitting down isn't conducive to creating an atmosphere. It's even worse at Bramall lane because when someone stands up in Bramall Lane somebody behind, rather than joining in will view it as a good excuse to cause a fight

Blades family my arse

Genuine question - Do you make any noise (get behind the team) Matt?

I’ve been thinking ‘what’s Mr Muscle’s first name?’ Did he say that?

Aye, you're all pussies. 'Oo it's quiet on matchdays, I sing all game me but no one joins in.'

Do you bollox. If only someone could get a group of like minded loud Bladey bastards to all stand together at matches and make loads of noise.

Ricky tried very hard for a while. It appears a lot of people didn't bother making an effort after hooting up about it.

You don't need many, whatever the years we're when des walker banged in the Notts forest goal, we flirted with the play offs and we went to Cardiff etc, I attended every home and quite a few away games with a merry band of about 30 lads.

We sat on The back of the A block of the kip and either myself or 2/3 others would start a vast majority of the songs that rang around the ground.

The atmosphere was electric and didn't take a lot, bit the satisfaction of starting a song, or being part of a ground wide chorus etc was electric.

This also was often orchestrated on the back of the G/H on the south but I recognise the restrictions (the Derby game where the firework was unfortunately sent into the away end was one of the best atmospheres I have ever witnessed at the lane).

I don't think it's insurmountable (look at palace) just needs a merry band of chaos to get it going...

Sad to say that their players turned up, ours didn’t; they played as a team, we didn’t; they won a big game, we didn’t (again). Started so well but as we’ve seen countless times before, we don’t convert dominance into gild and can maintain it for more than 30 minutes. So frustrating.

We don’t have the quality to compete for 90 mins against the better sides - or to compete for a full season. Quality costs money. Our tinpot owners continue to limit how far we can progress.

That is utter bollocks. Expecting 30+ year old players to maintain the level of workrate we showed in the first half is the problem. That and the fact our bench is wank.

I’m not sure what’s bollocks. Our better players were all poor, we looked like a beaten team long before WBA scored their 2nd (only Basham showed any passion) and we still haven’t beaten anybody who is decent. Norwood and Egan couldn’t lift themselves after making mistakes. I don’t disagree about the quality on the bench but what about the 11 who were on the pitch, most of them only played well for 30 mins. And yes, I was there.
