Lambert seems to be having the same success as Carlos at Swansea. Unless things change it is a case of when not if. Admittedly him going in the next 2 weeks is unlikely but we have previously managed to have 4 managers in a year so anything is possible.
Ipswich put up for sale. £35m

Owners are starting to realise how ridiculous the championship is.

Kev, take the fucking money, drop the court case and let the Prince deal with the annual losses.

From the East Anglian Daily Times

According to reports in the national media, Evans is said to be asking £35m for the club – but is not prepared to write-off the debt owed to him, which has now soared to £95.5m.

That would mean any buyer would effectively have to stump up in the region of £135m for the Blues, who currently sit rock bottom of the Championship.

That is a serious wedge :)

Just been on TalkShite that’s it’s ..Er...shite.

Typical , but doesn't matter whos in charge , our lot need to get up for the game and WIN it to keep up with the pack or else it will be like last season , if that happens we could be looking for a new manager at the end of the season when someone does poach Chris !!!

Makes no odds, it's in our game plan we have to give the opposition at least 1 goal in a game, sometimes 2 when we're feeling that way inclined.

And it's on Sky so even more reason to not win.
yes because we havent won away live on sky since ,,, oooh our last away game at Brentford

Heavy reading that, learned that CW has a release clause that can be triggered if "A,B,C doesn't happen. That apart two owners who want the best deal for themselves and seem miles apart in their valuations. At the end of the day neither have the wherewithal to move us forward unless they bring somebody else in with a serious wedge

Most of it is obvious though. If any decent manager is unhappy and not being backed they'll be poached, but it seems Wilder has it in his contract that should that happen he gets put on the market, it's not left to others to come and get him as much.

Does this document include a definition of "not being backed"?

Not read it, sorry.

Well it says £2m should be available in the transfer window, should it not then there's a list of risks, one being Wilder having the contractual backing to feck off, and then other football based issues, weakening of playing staff, increased offers from other teams for players due to perceived weakness of our hand, falling down the league and then loss of ticket earnings.

That's just the first bit though, I've not read it all.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Oh my goodness. Haven’t laughed so much since last 24th September. Go ON Reading FC, tell us another one :D

Reading are just one of those shitty, inconsequential clubs (Palace, Watford, Southampton, Ipswich, Fulham etc. etc.) who have got ideas above their station simply because they've got mega-rich owners. Remember when bent cunt Robert Maxwell bought them and wanted to re-name them Thames Valley Royals? Sounds like that shower at S6.

There are also concerns about Reading failing to comply with FFP.

And that's why CW won't be going anywhere soon. He'd probably inherit a shitstorm, meddling board, dressing room unrest and fans who'd be on his back as soon as results took a downturn. "What did we expect? What's Wilder ever won?" etc.

Steve Bruce is the Wonga of football. Yeah you might get a few bills paid in the short term but long term it costs you 10 times what you gained.

The sooner his ilk stop getting jobs the better.

Reading owners rumoured to be worth £700-800m so I'm sure Bruce will be eager to get his nose in the trough.
For all his talk about ambition he's always chased the £££s.
They've even started a "Dad's Army" recruitment policy for him in advance by signing John O'Shea & Paul McShane.

Speaking of which, Mark Hughes is now available
