I don't understand, I know Wilder knows his shit, but, why not play the team that won the last game??, Clarke scores, Washington played brilliantly, and we go back to same old???
A shake up is needed, we should be taking the chances now if we're serious about pushing for top 6!
The highlight of the day for us was the lad with leon..IMG-20181201-WA0000.jpg shame he didn't play..

Two teams play every game; sometimes the manager will want to change things up to adjust for the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. Worked a treat in midweek.

I know it's frustrating, but it wasn't the team selection that did us today--it was poor finishing and one horrendous error.

Why does Leon remind me if the weather girl off look north ??

Too many 8/10 performers operating at about 6/10. The Fleck/Norwood dynamic doesn’t working anymore. Against Leeds Ollie spent more time at the back than the err......back 3. Fleck is a bit of a passenger at the moment. Duffy doesn’t run at defenders anymore. Billy seems to be everywhere except the 6 yard box. And the whole blinking lot of em give the ball away much too easily.

Leon failed a fitness test.
He was as fit as a butcher’s dog on Tuesday night.

Bit of a strange one if you ask me. I can feel a conspiracy theory coming on!

I propose he turned up late and pissed for training or took some cough medicine that shouldn’t have.

He was going to start at Brentford but then an abductor problem so Chris decided to put him on the bench. Watching the match at a friend's house I noticed him pull up and limping around the 80th minute. Looked like he had aggravated his injury.

Opening goal against Rotherham, a week ago?

The Brentford game was a bigger ask than the Rotherham one. Should have stuck with the successful one of the two. And I said this before the Leeds game (much to the annoyance of the herd) before anyone accuses me of having the benefit of hindsight.

Didn’t Wilder say that he’d struggled to pass a fitness test in the afternoon, which is why he was only on the bench?
He weren't on the bench! (unless you're talking about Brentford - I'm talking about Leeds)

Went to watch one of the academy sides on Saturday morning, Leon pulled up in his car got out and hobbled in to physio with a very pronounced limp. Looked to me like he won't be back any time soon.

Clarke didn't start at Brentford either.

The players that played v Brentford played to rest the best plays (Duffy & Sharp). Are you saying that you would've preferred Washington and Lundstram over those 2 v Leeds?

Clarke was carrying a knock in midweek and was left out of the squad v Leeds due to injury. If he wasn't injured, i'm sure he would've played some part v Leeds

Yes and no, I didn't know Clarke was injured until post match, our lad even had his photo taken with him pre match.
I would've started with Mcgoldrick instead of Duffy, not with, and swapped them with 30mins left, and played Washington with Sharp as Clarke wasn't available, it's just my opinion and im no Wilder, but Washington looked very good v Bristol and I think he's the perfect partner for Clarke.

Because exploitative strategies can yield higher expectation.

Because sometimes a game is won in spite of a sub-optimal strategy and not because of it.

Because football is played by people who suffer from injury, fatigue, and are subject to psychology.

Because results oriented thinking over negligible samples sizes is a poor approach to decision making in general.

Because the game of football we played last week is largely independent of the game we will play next week.

Because "don't change a winning team" is a superstitious cliche with no grounding in strategy, tactics or, as best as I can tell, any empirical data.

The quote that I replied to was "he was as fit as a butchers dog on Tuesday night", hence my comment about him struggling to pass a fitness test before that game.

Strictly a physical relationship.
