Worryingly he will never be thought of in the same adoring way as legends like Ade Akinbiyi, Laurent D'Jaffo and Arturo Lupoli as he didn't score against the pigs.

But the clubs are not realising the game is up, the spending gets more obscene despite this fine. Derby seem to spend and spend every season, Villa need to go up this season, pigs are screwed, Birmingham like you say are on the brink, Boro sold a fair amount, but still seem to spend a shit load season after season....QPR to pay £40m after a lengthy 3 year court battle in Oct 2017 was a game changer, which is why the clubs are realising the game is up and those 9 to 11 clubs are apparently playing by the new rules. Not quite sure what happened to the Birmingham issue where they signed someone while under curfew though.

I heard on the radio last night that the FFP committee sits again in February to decide what to do with Birmingham. I’m not sure if it’s just them or other clubs. I suspect they may have issued clubs with warnings but given them the JTW to sort it out by selling players.Yes, agree it has been talked about for donkeys years, but somebody posted the spending of clubs a few weeks ago, and that list is now unsustainable.
Did CW say 9 or 11 are on FFP limits pre-season?
The pigs in big trouble at season end without selling in the JTW?
FFP is now biting the clubs in the arse as the rules about the 3 year spending limits kick in and work their way through.

The only way a club will get it, is not via a fine, but via relegations.

Their ridiculous valuations make me chuckle too. It's common knowledge they're totally screwed and need to sell. So why the fuck will someone come in offering 15m is beyond me. They'd be lucky to get 15m for their squad at the moment.I suppose that makes sense giving them the JTW - including our porcine neighbours.
Will be quite interesting when some club offers the pigs £6m for Reach when all the piglets reckon they will get £15-20m for him.
It's not exactly rocket science to know who is up against FFP in the Championship. There could be bargains to be had........over to you CW and team to find a couple for us.

I suppose Jose could have been our McGoldrick for the years, if things had worked out better.

In my view Leon on form is one of the best in this league and that's some achievement as a 33 year old that cost us £130,000 or whatever it was, it was peanuts. Yes he can be frustrating but if we give him service he is an excellent finisher. Sadly Billy, who is most commonly up there with Leon, doesn't have pace to compliment Leon's hold up play and Leon doesn't have pace either to compliment Billy's predator instincts and therefore both in my view are more suited to playing alongside someone who can do endless running and preferably at pace. This is where Washington comes in but I'd rather it be Washington and Leon than Washington and Billy, because Leon has the aireal threat and is more of a presence up there.
I'm not saying Washington should start every game but for me he needs to be used more, and I expect he will be now. I wouldn't have said this before Tuesday though, I'm not claiming that, but now we've seen what Washington can bring I think we'd be daft not to use him more.
In January its a priority in my view that we get another striker who can offer some height and target man ability because that is something we could do with off the bench and preferably someone with pace as an option too, but maybe Washington can be that man now.

You’ve worked for yourself for too long. Have you forgotten about ‘justifying your existence’?My money is on nothing.
Maybe a good hard telling off, but this will be reduced on appeal to a Paddington cold stare.

I agree with your point about needing a big target man, but you’re essentially arguing we should drop Billy for Leon - I can’t get on board with that.
Aside from Billy’s superior passion and sheer workrate, he’s just better than Leon I think and will score more goals.
We definitely need a striker, but Washington has a lot to prove before he gets near a start. Delighted for him doing well on Tuesday though.
On best form I prefer Leon to Billy and I wish it wasn't a case of picking Leon or Billy but in my view they don't compliment each other as well as they would do if the other had pace and/or the work rate to run into the channels. I really like Billy to be fair, when he's on form there's not many better of his type.
You're right its early days for Washington still, but he offers something that I think could really benefit the team.
