They're regrouping now. Win the next game they'll be going up again.

Older - is that something worth bragging about?
Bigger - not attendances
Better - league table says otherwise

I know pig fans and watching their team have to come to our patch and set up as if they were facing barcelona in the ok camp will have stung

I've had a read through and it's good to see there are some genuine fans on there who are now seeing it for what it is.

I don't exaggerate when I can say with confidence they are the poorest side I've seen at the Lane this season, and potentially last. How can you not come to a local derby fired up, and at least trying to get something? They looked resigned to the fact that it was going to be a draw or a loss for the whole game.

I saw a fan of theirs this morning, and said I genuinely feel sorry for him having to watch that shit every week.

He said it was brilliant, they came for a point and got one.

To which I asked him politely to stop being a deluded twat and wake up. Literally no-one else around us agreed with him (all other neutrals who saw the game).

Six teams within four points of them now.

Bet they're reight confident.

I'm not quite as elated as you but I know what your getting at
The thing is, I really think they way we play and set up we are more likely to do them in the away game

This result will get them back to their usual deluded bullshit selves, and I hope they do just enough to keep Jos in his job until next time.
They can't possibly be so negative at home and we will just pick them off

and how much better to do 'em good and proper at The Sty

He is trying to make himself feel better by pretending we think we are Real Madrid. Very similar to how he tries to make himself feel better by pretending people outside of Sheffield knows who he is

Can we have a graph as to how thick this cunt is?

A long time friend of mine was happy to have come to our place and taken a point. I pointed out they hadn't just parked the bus it had, actually broke down!
His leading point was that for all our possession we only had a dodgy penalty and Sharps missed header at the end.
When asked why their keeper was Mom for them? He replied he saved the penalty!
No reference to Fleck or Norwoods late free kick.
He admitted we had all the possession, but only had five attempts on target and that was the least any other team they have played this season have had!
I realised it was like kicking a puppy at this point and gave up.

Its the first time I've seen them this season and can comfortably say they are the poorest side I have watched.Possibly include all last year as well.
Taking my bias out of the equation, they are serious contenders for relegation this time. Not looking good at all.
Nice!!!!!!

I've not taken the piss out of the Pigs I know because it would be like punching a five year old kid and so unfair.

Just take it as a compliment ,believe me being worse than us is one thing ,having smaller attendances is another but the bitterest pill to swallow is that football wise we are on different planets and they know it
No FB,it's all about them having smaller attendances to them..we might look bigger to the wider football community..it drives them mad.
Well done to Wendy for getting their 0-0 draw, and Dawson for being the only player in blue and white to move the ball forward.

I don't think they're quite as safe as they think just yet, especially considering the form of those below recently. Millwall today being pretty unlucky also against leaders Norwich.

1 point from their last 15 puts them joint bottom with Bolton. Even Ipswich have done better.

They are all embarrassed. Some are openly admitting it, others are trying to hide it with bravado. Deep down though they all woke up this morning tormented by what they saw last night.

I woke up tormented by the fact we didn't win that on Friday night, that's what's still really hard to accept.

His tweets are worse than his songs and his songs are utter shit.

Hang on, are we the Pub League team or Real Madrid? I'm confused..... o_O

Sheffield United defines itself by the present, Wendy by winning a trophy 27 years ago, basically.

A trophy which is not the sole preserve of the super clubs either. Leicester, Boro, Blackburn and Swansea have all won it since and I bet none of that lot are as deluded as the twats at S6.

And Birmingham

And in the years before they won it Oxford, Forest, Wolves, Luton, Norwich

Big piggy row between the deluded and the realists. I like how the opening post says they have nothing to fear when we next play them. They always give it large until the week before the Derby then they absolutely shit themselves. Pathetic cowards .

Also this "if united were so good why didn't they best us" shit. Wednesday absolutely battered us at Wembley in 93 which everyone on here would admit. The final score after 90 minutes in that game was 1-1. Football isn't simply a case of the better team always winning.

I did wonder how long before the revisionst bollocks started and the answer was 2 days.

The post from Savi is particularly ludicrous. Still seems to think they have a better side.

I can't even be bothered to read their views. It seems have gone from seeing themselves as some sort of Real Madrid of the Championship 12 months or so ago to now thinking they are some minnows who have done amazingly well to get a draw off us.

It was interesting to chat at work to rival fans. I had the usual, thought you were giving bus driver a night off, you booked the bus for March & looking forward to manc derby to see a team in blue actually attack. But It was hard to wind them up because for most of it. I felt sorry for them. Consensus it was seemingly we needed a point & we got a point job done, regardless, bit of blind loyalty. Also embarrassed to be below Rotherham

I was saying that its a derby no one going into 1 dreaming of a draw, how couldve been excused similar tactics (not to that extreme) in September newly promoted 1 fit striker, alot of injuries & suspensions. But we went attacking & went for it. As who knows in 90 mins. Instead of waving the white flag at kick off

Was i wrong to say that i thought it wouldve been less embarrassing to attack give it a go but lose 2-0 Because wheres the momentum & positivity from being embarrassed on tv by hanging on for 90mins by your bitter rivals

They have definitely gone from thinking we are shit to thinking we are some sort of Fifa created super team. Their team showed us a ridiculous amount of respect and by being happy with what they saw on Friday now a lot of their fans are.

There are a few who are saying we aren't that good and not realising that just shows how cowardly they were. We aren't that good. We do lack quality in the final third and we are likely to concede in most games. The criricisms they have given us are mostly correct but that just show up their approach even more.

Everything about their thought process is all over the place. There are some sane Wednesday fans out there but many are very much in the John McLure mold.

I said yesterday that if we had scraped a 1-0 and played poorly I'd have been happier but it would have been less of a statement then what happened on Friday. I don't mean United made a statement, Wednesday did. They showed on live TV that they are petrified of their main rivals.

They got the point but it's not like they will go into training on a high after that. They can't play like that every week and there was nothing about their performance that could give them cause for optimism. They managed to avoid defeat in a cup tie style performance against a side who probably won't make the play offs.

Like you, I haven't felt the need to rub in how much better we were. The Wednesday fans I know have been really quiet and it's understandable. You'll always get blind fans who will never say anything negative and look for positives even in the most bleak times but realistically they are just like us. All you have to do to know how they are feeling right now is to imagine how you'd feel after experiencing Friday night if United has put in that sort of performance against Wednesday.

He's been mouthing off on Twitter and it turns out he didn't even see the game. He said he was abroad on tour like he was a legitimate musician.

To be fair to them, for whatever reason they are missing/can’t/won’t play their better players, and we’ve played them twice at BDTBL, and not really managed to lay a glove on them. It’s not like their keeper has had a ‘pressman’.

Like I’ve said before, we’ve never managed to give them the beating they deserve, and they dodged another bullet on Friday night. I doubt they’ll be as shit at hillsborough.

A lot of their comments seem to echo what people are saying on here, that our approach play was great, but we had a tendency to lose our thrust in the final 3rd and a tendency to drift into predictability.

They came for a draw, played for a draw & got a draw. Simple as that really.

We haven't beat them because we aren't that good. That what made their approach so ridiculous.

I don't think they dodged a bullet either. There have only ever been two hammerings either way in the last 70 years. Its an incredibly rare thing to batter your main rival in a Derby.

Wednesday are in poor form like they were at The Lane last year but aren't as bad as they make out. They aren't some rag tag team of nobodies. They have players in Lees, Bannan, Reach and Fletcher who 2 seasons ago were the spine of a team that finished 4th in the league. They were 6th a month ago and everybody on here was saying they were going to be a force this season.

There is no way United should have dominated that game as much as they did. The last time a team played like that against was Bury when they went down to 9 men. Bury were seconds away from a point that night too because that can happen in football. At the end of the season though they were relegated.

how you'd feel after experiencing Friday night if United has put in that sort of performance against Wednesday.

Yeah i thinking role reversed & why i had sympathy because sport is about hope & joy. I dont see where fans can find either, they had 1 shot on target in 90mins. I think that was a tame header easily caught. We are no strangers to that tactic we were awsy to man utd facing 300m of talent including mata martial & rooney After 6 weeks prior worse utd team for many years taught a footballing lesson by Shrewsbury

You need to win games if that what they have resort to get a clean sheet then maybe they are in a relegation battle. As they will have open up sometime, espically in the return derby as i can't see home fans stomaching that kind of defensive performance

This is what I'm trying to get at. We went to Man U and put in an identical performance as Wednesday did on Friday. We were all praising the team for the guts they showed and how good we had been defensively after a season of conceding goals all over the place.

There was nothing to build on though. It was an understandable approach playing like we did against Man Utd but it was a one off game and it did nothing for our confidence or league form. The week after we played Peterborough and let 3 in at home.

I think Wednesday fans are right to feel relieved and happy that they didn't get beat but the performance itself was a one off and they can't build on it because they can't play like that every week.

Jon McClure, legend in his own living room. His band before he setup as Reverend was called 1984 and was pretty good, since then it's been a bit dire. Relying on famous pals to appear on songs to make them sound less shit.

I'm sure his twitter ramblings get the pigs onside.

Has there been a "view from Vaughan" since the game? He normally has some terrible opinion to add to things.
