Fair enough, with 75% possession we should have coasted that, it shows where we need to improve. But fucking hell if I had to pay the highest ticket prices in the league to watch the shit entertainment they served their fans tonight id be fucking fuming, not celebrating a major 0-0 victory.
We fannied about to much, they're just fannies. Dry fannies.

We should have been peppering shot on their goal and looking for tap ins. Really frustrating we didn't change tactics with how deep they were playing.
Ah well we move on.

If I were one of their lot of feel.like it been arsed raped for ninety minutes but just glad the rapist threw me a tenner compensation after.
They're the relegation fodder on that display.

Tonight.

The whole world saw the Kings Of Anti-Football.

Jos should be seeing McGoldrick after the game and giving him this month's salary.
But for that penalty save, he'd have been on the first ferry out of dock.

United, that was a pleasure to behold, football wise, cannot fault them.
What it has also done is show the world that we have some class footballers.

On a final note, well done United, the support was NOISY and Wilder & Knill, got it 99.99% spot on tonight.

THIS CITY IS OURS....

We were excellent first half

We were average second half.

Wednesday were terrible all night. I think they may go down.

My Wendy gf's dad summed it up for me saying we steadily ran out of ideas whilst they never had any.

I can't grumble at how we went at em at all. Id play the shitbags every week if we could

I’m happy with tonight’s result because as we all know the form book goes out of the window in these games. Just been talking to some piggies in my hotel and they’re absolutely over the moon with a point and are claiming it as a turning point for their season!!. They say they’re going to storm up the table now!!!. I just laughed at their sheer stupidity!!!.
Deluded just isn’t the word!!!!. UTB
Onwards and upwards for the mighty blades.

So in summary:-

United played really well.

Wednesday were the worst team United have played all season.

United didn’t create a chance for the whole match apart from the penalty.

Something doesn’t add up....,

It's worse than that Captain. That one victorious point may avert relegation.

Or the two they didn't get with their multi million pound world beaters over the last 6 years that can't beat a pub league team might send them down......
Just trying to look at it from a different angle....

Appreciate that you’re a Wednesday fan and you understandably come at it from that angle but United did create chances (Fleck shot, Norwood shots, Sharp headers, two or three goalmouth scrambles) albeit not nearly enough of them given the possession we had and the often excellent approach work we put in.

But if you can’t see that United did play really well and that Wednesday on that display are at least among the worst teams we’ve played all season, you’re deluding yourself.

I’ve been going to United-Wednesday matches, home and away, for over fifty years now and I have never - that’s “never” - seen a side set up like your team did last night and show so little ambition. And I can say with total confidence that I won’t live to see a United side play like that because it would be totally unacceptable to our supporters.

Congratulations on your point.

i have a lot of texts this morning
that game was on world wide tv.. some of my mates were watching it in Austria.. it sent out a statement of what we are about and what they are about.. they came playing like a lower team desperate for a draw
many mentioned the quality of our play
so ok we didn’t win but image wise we’ve definitely put them in their place

yeah you guys don’t add up mate :)
if you can’t in your heart of hearts see the writing on the wall after that then you never will
and that’s actually the difference between you and us.. i reckon if we’d been totally outclassed like that many on here would simply say ‘they were really good fair play to them’ and simply hold their hands up
you guys really have no class
the difference between that and say wigan was that in the wigan game one of those ricochets went in and not to a player..
oh and wigan made more noise which i was genuinely surprised about.. we only heard your fans twice.. after the pen and after the game .. i expected better tbf

You say we didn’t create a chance all game. Billy’s header? Norwood Free Kick, Fleck shot in the first couple of minutes. Not entirely true is it?

Spend millions on players ,pay them over a million pounds a week collectively, come to a club paying a tenth of that and don't have any interest in attacking the other teams goal.
Add that up.

I, among others around me, feared the ‘sucker punch’ every time they got the ball. But they were dreadful and the reality was that they simply had no chance.

I’ve just watched the highlights back and other than the half-chance at the back post in the first half they don’t feature.

Fleck’s shot was a comfortable save. The penalty was poor but any other day it goes in. Billy’s header wasn’t as easy as it was portrayed.

The football at times was above this level. But it’s like rubbing a woman up without actually penetrating her.

Any pig who thinks they played well or that they’ve turned a corner is a fuckin idiot. They are shit.

I think united could have played better and perhaps mixed up our tactics a bit in terms of taking some shots and getting some balls in the box a bit earlier at times. I think we'd have had more than the 19 shots at goal if we'd done that.

As for Wednesday, it was genuinely the type of performance I'd expect from a non league side turning up in the 3rd round of the FA cup. In that context they must be happy but no other side, home or away has turned up, and parked the bus in quite the same way whilst we've been in this league. I thought it was shocking. No banter or wind up. it was just shocking.

Did any of em say our shirt is orrid and needs more red?

Only downside to the great domination of the multimillion £ piglets, was that we are the first team this season not to score against em.

Them piglet fans celebrating at the end as though they had won the WC,just shows how far their expectation level has dropped.

The game and how the piglets played reminded me of how so many League 1 teams used to come to Bramall Lane, maybe thats what they have become and are destined to be.

It was like watching an FA cup tie between 2 clubs from different leagues.
Wednesday were probably the poorest/ most negative team we’ve played, their whole ambition was damage limitation, very similiiar to league 1 teams we played during our promotion season. They stunk the place out in front of millions of Sky viewers.

one (sunderland fan .. he gets it) said we look like derby from behind.. he’s right of course.. he was pretty impressed with our play though.. the B word was mentioned ;)
