Not going to read their comments to be honest. It would annoy me too much and I feel down as it is!

If you read a few of their comments you might not feel so down.

I would say that if those comments are anything to go by there has been a bit of a shift in the Wednesday psyche. Most of them thought they got battered and were lucky to escape with a point. But, more significantly, most of them now also think we are actually a better side than them.

I've watched their last two games. They could have lost 6-0 at home to Norwich and not complained. Tonight they were abject. I think they're going down unless the manager goes.

That's what Ive said ,3 good things to come out of tonights game ,we go back to the top ,they will keep their manager for a few more weeks and they are going down with only Bolton and maybe Ipswich below them.

Their #10 was probably the worst midfielder I’ve seen at this level. #34 looked like it was the first time he’d seen a football.

No idea who they are.

Their keeper did well, the back three, the rest were shit. Bannan is a Third Division player and I was probably closer to Adam Reach than any of his team mates.

“Sheff U define themselves by derbies. We define ourselves by trophies”
Not laughed this hard for ages. Might need to take a break and save the rest for tomorrow.
Ok read the rest and they're mostly in the real world. Glad they realise they don't have much to boast about.

“This Season United are in the ascendancy while we are waiting out FFP. In that context, we should be happy with the defensive performance a least, when we are away from home. “

Not sure if this bloke things that it’s hard luck that they’re sailing close to FFP and that they should get sympathy but the fact is that they have cheated for the last few years.

If they hadn’t been spending shitloads on shit players and making up companies to give them false revenue they wouldn’t be in this situation. It’s like it’s now a valid excuse for them to not compete with little old Sheffield United.

If there aren’t 4 or 5 teams including the pigs under embargo in January then as a club we should leave the EFL and start a new league where the rules are followed.

It's amazing how far they've fallen, and how quickly. Getting a nil-nil against us is now seemingly the highlight of their season.

Well it is. Theyre at the bottom of their game if Football Heaven is anything to go by and were at the top of ours. thats why were second in the league

Rammel Lane....new one.

It’s not. Nothing they say is new. But thought amongst the delusion were some fair comments. Better from them than I expected with the odd care in the community comment thrown in like an unexploded bomb.

I know I'm probably in the minority tonight Blades fans - but I'm feeling quite elated about that performance tonight. I have NEVER EVER seen either United or Wednesday dominate a Derby game like we did tonight. To hell with the fact we didn't score - OK I think we overcook it sometimes and should get the ball in the box earlier, but really boys and girls, that was a master-class in football and seriously embarrassing for them and their fans. Have you ever seen 75%/25% stats before!!! The Blades played superb football and that lot couldn't do anything except hang on by their fingernails and try desperately now and then to get over the halfway line to give them some respite.
Been watching the Blades for longer than I'm prepared to admit, but I promise you that was amazing. I couldn't have imagined in my Wilderest dreams that the gulf in class was as wide as that. OK - we've got to get more clinical, but if we maintain this standard (or something approaching it) we have to have a bloody good chance of promotion. UTB!!!
Really? We played masterly, passing football against a team that, quite frankly, was an embarrassment to pro football. How can our performance be lauded against such a pathetic outfit? We should have scored a hatful but don’t know how to break down a defensive minded team. I hate them as much as any man but........come on, THEY MADE US AND ALLOWED US TO BE THAT GOOD. Quite honestly, Duffy and Fleck are brilliant but, no decisive through balls cutting their defence in half really happened. It’s all well saying we need another striker when we can’t really feed the ones we have. We ARE good but, we are nowhere near the finished article.....yet.

After time to digest over night,
I think Sir Chris summed it up in his post match interview,

We’ve come a long way in 2 and half years, we’ll go our way now and do what we need to do”

That says to me, they are utter shit big-timers who play horrendous football and we’re building a stable club going from strength to strength
UTB

Cheers Roy..

Silly comments in there, but hey look how far they’ve gone backwards..

I'd say that performance showed why we won't get promotion actually.

No shame in that as we're further forward in the build than we could expect. My concern is that by the time we've become more clinical in the final third, some players will be too old and others sold.

I gave up reading after...

We went there to do a job and we delivered and again, like last time, could have nicked it. The celebration after Dawson saved the penalty showed everyone all you need to know re. how together the players being picked are in contrast to snidey threads started by our own so called supporters just minutes before kick off. Wilder’s face following that of Billy’s showed you who the winners were tonight and for all their possesion they had a dodgy penalty...

I dunno about being searched for bottles, cans etc. when you enter the ground. Cunts like this ^^^ should be searched to prove they're in possession of a brain cell. 'Dodgy penalty'? A more nailed-on pen. has probably never been seen. 'The celebration after Dawson saved...' was - like their reaction at full time - pure relief. Our players immediately went apeshit after the penalty miss - buzzing around, trying to win the ball. Yes, Wednesday. Trying to win the ball. You should try it some time. 'Wilder's face following that of Billy's' was pure disappointment. We go out to win 3 points. Wednesday go out to scrape a draw.

In our darkest times in recent years - under Adkins - we went to Old Trafford in the FA Cup, battled and were only denied a draw by a last-minute penalty. But we tried.

It was good to see Wednesday 'in the flesh' as opposed to the deranged ramblings of Mick/Mark on Radio Pig. God they're shite, and if Bannan ( a very poor man's Norwood/Fleck/Coutts) is their best player, they've got serious problems. We played some scintillating stuff but lack a cutting edge and decisiveness at the 'business end'.

So celebrate away, Wednesday (is the open-top bus parade later today?). I'm sure your egregious brand of hoofball will see you stave off relegation. Starting two weeks today at home to Frank Lampard's Derby County...;)

I know what you mean but trying to pass through 8 ultra deep men is nigh on impossible. You have to pass around them and use your wings effectively.

If they had tried to pass through it would, by mathematics and probability, would’ve been cut out and you’d no doubt be moaning about that style too.

Although disappointed, I wouldn't mind seeing a 'view from...' from neutrals roybgiv. I haven't seen Sky or read anything else yet, but the rest of the world who watched that can not be under any illusion as to which is by far the best team in this city now.

Just such a shame that again we have allowed some deluded Wednesday fans the smallest opportunity to try and justify their 'performance' which was frankly shocking and embarrassing for a club that has spent so much money and has such delusions of grandeur.

Disappointed yes, very, but also immensely proud about where our club is right now and how we are going about things. Best I have seen in 45 years. Nobody believes we will sit back and play like they did at their place, including their fans, which is the greatest compliment and highlights the difference in the two clubs right now.

With due deference to Roygbiv I thought I'd see if there was anything on completely neutral forums in case I was blinded by obvious bias, with my head spinning from the thought that "Jos out thought Wilder" by the genius move of stationing nine outfield players in their own penalty area.

"Decent game that. Must be **** to go to your local rivals and literally defend for your lives for 90 minutes though. Wednesday didn’t even try to do anything in open play" (Wolves)

"The intensity of Sheffield United is great. Watching this you have to wonder how on earth we beat them!" (Middlesbrough)

"Best team ive seen in the league so far" (Aston Villa)

"Watched that Sheffield derby. Christ, Wednesday got battered, no idea how they managed a draw" (Blackburn)

"One team trying to win and the other hanging on,very similar to the game I watched on the 23rd Oct there" (Stoke)

"It was such a one sided man vs boys match. The only thing it was missing was a goal" (Barnsley)

"Very dull game which left me with my mind wandering for much of the match...I've no fear of either of them now" (Rotherham)

A lot of comments face up to the fact that it was a humiliating performance by Wednesday. Glad the roles are not reversed because there is no pride as an owl right now and we are being praised to the sky by neutrals. To beat a team with 10 at the back and goalie having mom you need a bit if luck and we didn't get it. Fair play to a lot of comments for being realistic. Beginning of last season to read this would have been thought a Blades fantasy

"Very dull game which left me with my mind wandering for much of the match...I've no fear of either of them now" (Rotherham)
That actually made me laugh! Not going all massive, but surely better than most Rotherham games who find it impossible to score unless a set piece and any Rotherham fan must be slightly concerned after seeing us dominate our local rivals like that.

thanks ROY

Some really entertaining stuff as usual.

The "we define ourselves" was a highlight as was "Jos out thought Wilder"

Fucking mental , some of these people

As for the game, the only time I can remember seeing a team set up like that was when Adkins took us to old Trafford in the FA cup.

At the time we were a shit league 1 team, playing away at a top premier league club. Yesterday was an embarrassment to them as a club in my opinion.

A strange way to look at the game, do you really think they made us look good really? I think I will stick to my view that WE WERE BETTER IN EVERY DEPARTMENT AND MADE THEM LOOK PISS POOR. Further to that i'd be embarrassed if I were a pig fan that has to be the most cowardly display ever seen in a Sheffield derby. We really could have played the under 13's keeper who would easily have saved their one apology of a shot on target.

Cheers Roy. They really are a different breed of deluded scum aren’t they??. ( Oh I forgot they’re massive and have won loads of trophies!!. Fucking retards).
Fuck the piggie scum. UTB

I have watched United for a long time, starting with the Currie, Woodward era. We have had more downs than ups.

With Bassett, Warnock and Blackwell I was resigned to a poor style of football that sometimes got results.

Any realistic Blade has to admit that at a time when they were lining up players of the calibre of Hurst and Twaddle against Gannon et al they were streets ahead.

That is why despite the result, last night was a joy to watch. How the mighty are fallen. They have a team full of vastly overpaid journeymen who turned up at the biggest game of thier season, showed no ambition and got footballed off the park.

I can honestly say I have never seen such a gutless derby performance or worse Wednesday team.
Saddled by FFP and the Chancer long may it continue.

Thanks Roygbiv mostly delusional, the odd snippet of reality.

The football is again a delight to watch and we are not far away from being very, very good.
