The wendys are trying their hardest to deflect any pressure on to us by stating it's a forgone conclusion that we'll win. I trust CW has our lads heads in the right place reminding them that nothing should be taken for granted and we must work hard if we are to get the three points. Just look back to the week before 24th September 2017, they were billy big bollocks until Fleck stepped up to that free kick.

Thank you Roygbiv and Sothall_Blade

I was about to post and ask if anyone was able to compare their views only 12 months ago. Hilarious they are now all now so fucking quiet and humble.

That doesn’t make it any easier for my nerves ! I fear a shut up shop job from them and we aren’t the best at breaking that down. No over confidence here, these games are sometimes the hardest. A post referred to putting 4 past Wigan which should mean we score more but Wigan had a go and I doubt these will.

They are trying to act really calm, suggesting that they know they will lose. In reality they are petrified that we will beat them like they've never been beaten before. If we manage to play at our best and they play at their worst it could easily be total and utter humiliation for them, which would be rather nice.

I'd settle for a jammy 1-0 win and three lovely points though. :D

As if things aren’t bad enough for them at the moment, they’ve now made themselves sound absolutely pathetic. Bottlers with no backbone, waving the white flag before battle has even started.

No matter how bad we were, I would never admit defeat to anyone before a game.
I've never had much regard for pig fans but my god what a shower of shit they are, about as much bottle as a 2nd world war Italian tank division. Utterly pathetic wankers.

I just want three points - it's only the same as the wins we got against Wigan, Bolton, Preston and Millwall - scrubbers at the wrong end of the table.

What a bunch of fannies. Can't work out if the fans have no bollocks and its rubbed off on the team or the other way around. Either way, too much white flag waving.

If we were as shite as them, yes we'd also be shitting it like they are but we'd also say things like "its a derby and anything can happen", but from that lot theres so few comments about battling.

Despite our relative league positions and the way both sides have played, we've got the ability to get turned over and they've got the ability to win games. There are a lot of good players in their side and if they pull their finger out then we could have a really good game...

“More worried that after this season Utd will have had 13 from last 19 seasons. Our city dominance of the 80s and 90s and lengthy spells throughout time has been surrendered. Thanks to all the pretenders in charge that have aided in this.”
I don't get this comment, since the 4-0 in 79 we hardly played them in the 80's and in the 90's we were fairly even in derbies

Can you ever imagine typing or saying that say, a 3-0 defeat to them would be "okay" or words to that effect, irrespective of league position or form?

They weren't pulling any trees up last September but they were going to destroy us. Now look at them.

I think they are referring to who has been placed higher in the league.
United 12 times out of the last 18 seasons.
Wednesday for most of the 80's and 90's (strangely neglects to mention the "Blades Glory, Owls Down" season).

Never a truer comment made, brother. They are cleverly trying to switch the narrative. I can assure you, with every ounce of my being that they will score. They are not as poor as we think and we can be loose defensively. A early goal for them or a red card for us, changes the dynamic and would make for a very interesting game. The whole thing has the feeling of the build up to the '92 General Election, we need to turn the dials down from 11. :)

I wasn't nervous this week, however the more negative their fans become the nerves are starting to build. I'd much prefer to be underdogs than this level of expectation.

However over the last few seasons we've "earnt" that level of expectation with our performances.

Both sides give away goals, we tend to give away goals but also win games...

“Never been so confident ahead of a derby , lets be right there now saying there the favourites because Paul Couts ( who ? ) Billy Sharpe and Leon Clark might be fit , now fucking forgive me but I hardly thing our back four are losing any sleep worrying about that , apparently they play attractive football ! I would be more worried If the usual bunch of cloggers turned up we will batter them no problem”

“They honestly think we’re bricking it over Coutts and Fleck? In fact they probably think we’re bricking it over their entire team. Of course they can win on Sunday, it’s like any match in the championship, you have to be at it to pick up points but I genuinely believe the experience we have will give us the edge on the day and in Wallace and Fletcher in particular we have players who generally perform in the games that matter the most.”

“I think that ‘pashun’ could overspill and if the ref is on it I can see them being reduced to 10 men in the first half. I believe we have too much for them in particularly in terms of movement of the ball. If Hooper is on form I can see us smashing them 4-0 or 4-1. “

“The way CC, Lees & SWFC have conducted themselves before the game is absolutely fantastic, calm, composed with a clear message. They all seem very focussed. They know how much it means to all of us, and are not been dragged into a war of words with the tin pot brigade at the other side of the city. We haven’t look rattled at all, with the mind games & sideswipes from Wilder and the rest of their brigade. This is the reason I think we will win, our players have to much class, quality & experience, and know the end goal. Wilder IMO will be riling up there players all week, as a do or die sort of game, to the point were I think they will lose focus, discipline and overall the game as they won’t be able to compete with quality. Lets not forget CC has managed in some big derbies before like Besitkas, Sporting. He is keeping his cool, unlike Wilder whose lack of experience in big sell out games is starting to get to him, to me he is like a rabbit in the headlights trying to please the fans at every twist and turn, but forgetting the real goal at the end of the day . my god I hope we wipe the floor with them, just to shut the, up “

“This is probably the most calm I have been about a derby fixture. Yeah, yeah, ‘form goes out the window’, ‘it’s not won on paper’, etc. Well, I think that’s mostly complete balls.
We’re playing well, we have a better team, they’ve been found out against ‘better opposition’….as long as we start well, we’ll be fine. “

“Just like every other jealous local club, stepping into the ring with Wednesday and hoping to land a blow is the pinnacle of their season. Couldn’t get more small time if they tried. “
ETC
Send that to porktalk I would love to see their response, remember reading it like it was last week

Cheers Roy. After reading that pile of shit.
There’s only one conclusion to make:::.
What a complete set of retarded fuckwits they really are!!. Fuck em. UTB

Absolute set of thick Sheffield bellends.

They haven't sold many in the last 12 months, Billy and Leon are 'even' older than they were, how have they managed to convince themselves their multi million pound players are going to be happy losing by a couple of goals, like a few have said above we'd never approach a game with that mindset, it would be knowing we're the underdogs but our lads will be fired up for it, bunch of pussies

If we win 1-0, they'll be bothered. As usual, honesty will go out of the window with them.

Already saying "bouncing day" is cringeworthy even though still banging on about Boxing Day nearly 40 years later.

But it WAS cringeworthy for the truffle-snufflers. FC Chansari, reaching new heights of delusion.

Of course we would be happy to get just the win no matter what. BUT are we not secretly all hoping we SMASH THE BASTARDS INTO OBLIVION......,. UTB FTP
