No point having a meltdown just because we narrowly lost a game against another top 10 team. It was always going to be a grind today, especially without Duffy on the field.

We aren't good enough to win every game but on our day we will still beat most of the teams in the league.

In any case I think most minds have quickly focussed towards Friday, rather than dwelling on today.

Yeah. To be honest we weren't even as good as we were at Bristol. At least it was 68 not 88 so we at least had a chance and it's less of a kick in the lovespuds.

Today didn’t impact me too much. Forest tend to be a bit of a bogey team of ours, we rarely get a good result against them. I had a feeling we’d struggle with one eye already on Friday’s match. My expectations were low, we didn’t turn up and ultimately we got what we deserved (though Forest weren’t much better and a draw would not have been a ludicrous outcome by any means).

It’s when we throw points away that it hurts me. If we’d got what we deserved from the Bristol, Stoke and Derby games this season we would have a cushion now.

Anyway, we’re doing well to be where we are. I think most sensible Blades know it’s going to be impossible to sustain a top 2 challenge without (the highly unlikely scenario of) serious investment in January.

I didn't go as was fighting my way through the abortion that's called the Dartford QE2 crossing, but my boy went and we apparently played a flat 5 with Coutts being put in. he texted to say it just wasn't working. CW obviously tried something a bit different away from home, but this central 3 of Fleck/Coutts & Norwood is going to take a few games to bed in if it's going to be an away formation.

We do seem to have an issue in not being able to get something from the better teams away from home. Have seen the goal and we should again have done better.

Lets hope the Duffmeister is fit for Friday.
