..been to Forest many times and been hammered. Today the best team lost. We outplayed them for big parts.

I wasn't sure Coutts was ready but he was.

What a joy to go to places like Forest and definitely control the game.

We had more possession we had double the corners.

If final third passing had been better we would be looking at top of the league.

Keep going Chris I love it...

Reasons to be cheerful:

Fleck and McGoldrick did not pick up a 5th yellow card.
Basham will be back on Friday - hopefully Duffy too?
Wednesday's confidence will be at rock bottom after today.

This is a very tight league. No need to get suicidal over today's result. I think we have too many snowflakes amongst our younger supporters.

We were poor today, lacking focus all over the pitch, one of the most obvious things was a misplaced pass from Forest that hit Billy in the stomach and bounced off, on another day he controls it and we're off, today he was as close as you can get to looking down at your phone as you can get without a phone haha...

No cutting edge today but even so, everyone loses games and we'll come back from it and put in a better performance on Friday I'm sure.

Coutts was decent considering his lack of playing time but he's a few cameos off a start still for me but we were in a jam and he did well.

I didn’t see it quite the same way as you. We did control large parts, but distinctly lacked penetration.

We missed Duffy, or at least McGoldrick (from the start) behind the front 2.

But we look for ideal openings, and sometimes we’re too idealistic.

It’s very difficult to criticise a team built with our resource that does what it does though.

The league this year is chaos, it's frustrating we can't get a run together. But Wilder has to stop being creative with team selection. Coutts should not be playing right now, especially along side Norwood. Too flat. Also until we get a better striker McGoldrick should not be taken out of the side. We simply don't have the options right now to rest players.

That doesn’t make today any better
Wilder has said we didnt play well ,but
shit !! no way.He called it right and we do find it difficult to grind out a result not for the first time this season. He knows we have to learn how to do this as it will cost us dear this season. In a tight league which it is (championship ) grinding out 6or 7 points throughout the season could make the difference between success or failure.

I honestly thought we we good.
I thought we were better than them as well, but if you don't create chances then you run the risk of losing.
I'm really not overly concerned to be honest.
Bash, Mcgoldrick and Duffy will see us right Friday.

First 20 mins we hardly touched the ball, then we got back into it a bit for 20 mins. 2nd half was us giving the ball away and trying things that we don't normally try.

We definitely didn't control the game and we didn't deserve anything out of it. Far too many 6/10 performances made us look like a bang average team.

The phrase ‘shit’ was mentioned by the members of group I watched the match with. Admittedly it’s subjective & relative, but perhaps our collective benchmark/expectation has risen, and our current levels of performance need referencing against what they need to be to get promoted as opposed to what they were 3 years ago? It was a poor game involving two poor looking teams. Not much quality on show from either side. It’s the type of game a team wins if they want to get promoted. Grinds it out, finds a way, etc.

As has been said on here, we seemed to lack focus from the off, appeared disjointed and I thought we never got our passing game going. A few hoofs seem to be creeping into our play as well. I thought the shape was wrong, as was the team selection. The 1st half was scrappy and we seemed to get stuck in a rut of trying to win free kicks. Our only real chance of scoring seemed to be their keeper arsing up a cross/corner. It may be simply a case of ‘before the Lord Mayor’s show’, or it may be a case of us not being as good a team as we think. Yesterday’s team selection is a kick in the balls for stearman, and unless he had a knock, possibly points to his days being numbered. Clarke looks to be on his farewell tour of championship grounds for us. Woodburn needs to go back to Liverpool u23’s and be the player he thinks he is.

I think it's about expectations. As I bang on about far too much on here, people think we are world beaters when we win a few and shit when we lose a game. We are allowed an off game and generally (and I hope I'm not proven wrong on this) we don't have 2 off games on the bounce.

There is definitely an element of people needing to re-align their expectations and at the same time we need the players to continue to have more on days than off days.

I think people were a bit harsh on Woodburn yesterday, expecting him to come on and make an impact in 10 minutes in a game where we were misfiring is unrealistic, his demeanor doesn't help him but the chance he had wasn't easy and he seemed annoyed at missing the chance. However I wouldn't suggest he starts anytime soon and wouldn't be in the slightest bit concerned if he went back to Liverpool in January.

Just please don't lose at home against the pigs, I live 3,500 miles away but I'd still feel the repercussions if we conspire to lose to those fuckwits.

Nothing wrong with trying new things getting stereotyped is not the way forward.
Stop conceding poor goals is our big problem, that's the 2ND away game in a row when Freeman has not done the basics any fullback should do. Tired legs or not giving the player time ,space and on their stronger foot to put in a dangerous cross,
