So Dearden scored 2.86 Goals per game for The Blades, Edwards (in two spells) 1.82 and Sharp (in three spells) 2.31 so far.

I presume that you mean 'games per goal' in your stats...otherwise Billy Dearden was some player scoring on average nearly a hatrick every game...

Took my mates young uns last Saturday and went in early to watch the team warm up.

Watching the strikers; no matter how Billy received the ball he controlled it once then smashed it in the net EVERY time.

I turned to the young uns and said ‘watch Billy like a hawk as you rarely see such a natural finisher’

He really is ... his technique is perfect

I think the biggest compliment I can pay Billy is that he’s changed my mind about him.

Credit to you mate for admitting it.

Sadly, as DronnieBlade says, plenty will be on his back when he hits the next and inevitable barren patch.

A fantastic goal poacher more similar to Lineker / Sheared than anyone else I can think of currently in the game. His drive and will to force himself past defenders to get a toe or head to something, is a skill to behold. Wrap that up in his lifelong United allegiance and we have something special.

Top lad and always first name on the team sheet for me.

He's a better player now than he's ever been, he was never the quickest but as his legs have got slightly older his brain and anticipation has got quicker. His touch is excellent especially in front of goal, he's got a calmness and doesn't get flustered as some others do. He's also a great crosser of the ball.

Really want him starting next week, he'll be fired up and we need that edge hopefully sticking one or more in
