I had a message on Facebook earlier to say we’re going to anhilate them. I personally would prefer it if they were more confident, because they might’ve tried to match us and have a go. Doubt it after today’s result, they’ll park the bus again

It's amazing how they spend all year saying we are shit then when we play them they all think they we are going to batter them

Got anything showing how the league is compared to last season?

We’re probably on similar points but we went on a terrible run about this time too so be interesting to see how we’re tracking in the next month or two

Their excuses are starting to approach the rational ("They have an exceptional manager, but only Sunderland seem to realise it"). Obviously they would be top if Wilder was in charge of their superior squad, unless of course he took the same attitude as Warnock and F****d them up for a generation.

I seem to remember Wednesday saying they'd hammer us when we went there in 1992. Bobby Davison had other ideas thankfully! These games are one offs and I don't want to be arrogant. Saying that, our team back then was full of character and balls, the current Wednesday team have some decent footballers but seem soft to me and I expect we'll be more up for it too than them, Wilder is a huge advantage in derby games too.

Saw less than 10 minutes of that game Booker , but if we score early, I’d fear for them if we smelt blood

Yup, as I've said before, if we're 'there or thereabouts' on game 17 (when Coutts broke his leg last year) we're doing really well.

It's on the Compared with last season thread which I update after every game.

Bookmark it.

As for smelling blood I thought when we were 3 - 0 up under Blackwell at half time we'd go onto to get at least another but in the end we were lucky to win!

On there kop , Dane scored , things went ape shit , over for week , Villa game Saturday called off , pigs game 10 minutes, Manu Saturday lost 2-1 great week , a great week
