That’s decent to be fair, perhaps we could support our local breweries by replacing the utter shite they serve at the Lane. It would also mean an entire new workforce to be able to serve it. Forget it.

If they stuck Heathen on at Bramall Lane I'd never see any of the football. MJM will agree.

Heathen !? Not tried it, only just got into ales over the last few months, where’s it sold ? Sounds like a must try

It's a craft beer/lager hybrid. Only 4.1% but it packs a punch in terms of flavour. Very full-bodied, fruity and tangy. £3.60 a pint at Clubhouse on London Rd. Won't find it cheaper anywhere else.

Bradfield ales Yorkshire Farmer 4.0%. Brewed over in the dark side but none the less. Have some int' Nags Head Loxley way. First pint beats the change back. The Brasil 1970 of ales.
It doesn't travel well though, and is decidedly different bottled. Them mini kegs don't do it justice either.
I know this is nowt to do with tomorrows match. Good on Daaaahby.

£5.60 (I think) at the Tap Tavern in Richmond when I had a pint. Agree it was decent pint though I paid a hefty London premium!

I do wonder why we don't serve local breweries..
It'd look good for the club serving local ales, being all 'proper' and that.

I reckon it'd boost drink sales for the club because I know there's a decent amount of people who don't drink on the concourse before the lane, instead, drink at one of the local boozers. Preferring better beer.

Is it a contractual and cost thing? Selling absolute shite alcohol before the game. They should at least try it out.

I find it difficult to believe anyone would pay £5.60 for a pint. Were you concussed ? Before ? After ?

That's the going rate for small batch beer in Richmond-upon-Thames; a pint of lager on the riverside will cost you a similar amount. The Sussex Arms down the road from me does 18+ handpulls for £4.20 a pint but that's very much an outlier; the Fuller's pub opposite charges a fiver for a pint of hop flavoured Thames water Pride

No idea on the contract but I agree, they’d probably need to redesign the bar and get proper taps in. Recruit more experienced bar staff who might want to earn £50 or so for 4 or 5 hours work. Loads of students that work in pubs in the evenings would surely do it

I’d go an hour before kick off if they had a decent bar, obviously you can’t get away from serving in plastic though.

I sup it in the Dev Cat, really is a cracking pint. Derby making an effort shows how simple it is, why is everything so fucking difficult for our club to change its ways one iota where catering is concerned, even if is to everyone's benefit, including theirs.

Same down here in Hastings town centre, can get a pint of Adams real ale (5.5%) for £2.29, move along to the Olde Towne and the local hostelries will charge you £4.95 - well more than double for the same brew, just because your drinking in a 17th century oak beamed regentryried pub. I don't go there.
