The only reason he has took to life at the Lane as he has, is that he is a happy, grounded and very confident young man, who appreciates what he has got in life, and makes an effort to engage and get on well with the fans. A very refreshing thing to see in today’s game, and I’m determined to enjoy every minute he plays im United colours because he will not be here for long, and within the next 2 or 3 years he will be one of the worlds best keepers and England’s undisputed No 1. I rate him that highly.

A bit worried in case if he's a passion merchant and will do the exact same thing no matter which club he's at.

Hope he genuinely loves the club and wants to stay beyond this season.

He is, he did the same at Shrewsbury, they love him over there too. Doesn't mean he doesn't care about this club I'm sure he does. but even so that's how football should be.

It his job and career, cant fault anyone for loving their job. He is a Man Un player and has come on loan. Bing on loan doesn't preclude enjoying your time at a club, engaging with supporters and absolutely loving what you do, putting 100% into it. He is a joy to watch and a 'model professional footballer', he will have an illustrious career, of that there is no doubt, it probably wont be with the Blades though as I think he is probably out of our financial league.

I am firmly of the opinion that even if we got promoted to the Premier league we'd still have no chance of signing him. There will always be someone biggerer and betterer who can offer him morerer.

But how good would it be if in the press conference after signing him he was asked "So Dean, tell me why you turned down the chance to stay at Manchester United as De Gea's understudy and Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea?"
And he replied "Because I fucking love Dem Blades" :D

Probably know better when Man U make decision on his future post de Gea. Did ok at Shrewsbury, flying high with us at the moment.
If Mourinho doesn’t want him as 1st choice, and he’s on the bench for them regularly, who would take a punt on him. No top 6 team I don’t think, mid table possibly. What is a reserve top 6 goalie worth these days. Based on potential, £10m?. Wages £40/50k a week. Could be double, who knows.
One things for sure, by the time a decision has been made on him, we’ll be in the top flight, and one of those mid table teams.

Totally agree.

I think you could say he’s being the ultimate professional, I ain’t going to criticise him for that.

We may never know... He may never leave the original United.

I suppose we may find out when he makes his Full England debut

He’s bought into what this club is all about, no doubting that he views his future at Man Utd but as long as he gives it his all whilst he’s here then there’s no problems.

He's a clever kid who knows what it takes to keep the fans onside whilst away on loan.

Even if it's 100% fake I'd still rather he was like this than James Wilson, who was clear from the beginning that he didn't give a toss about the club beyond what we could do to get his own career back on track.

I don't doubt that he's really enjoying it at the moment, why wouldn't he, but he's certainly playing the game. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out if his 'No.1 at ManUre and England' plans don't go the way he wants (which is likely) but odds-on his future away from ManUre would only be to another Prem club.
