Looks like we'll be getting regular videos of Deano's celebrations when we score from now on :D

Can't imagine anyone will complain. The lad has earned himself cult hero status in less than ten games.

More cameras and more angles, I say. Get him mic'd up, n'all!

Deano whenever we score :D

Can see him joining in with the Greasy Chip Butty song before kick off before too long.

Remember this "cult hero"? Let's not get carried away...

I'd still gift him cult hero status. Just because his time didn't end well with us doesn't mean that should be taken away from him. Brayford was a glimmer of hope in a dark time which is why we took to him.

Plus Hendo isn't crocked all the fucking time ;)

I absolutely LOVE this!

What a lad!

I imagine going for a pint with him would be entertaining to say the least!

I liked Brayford - as everyone did for a while - but Deano started as he meant to go on.
From tweeting the Greasy Chip Butty when he signed to his now much admired goal celebrations & fan interaction, he's endeared himself to the crowd and he's getting it back in spades. He looks like a real character and that goes a long way in football - he seems to have a bit of the archetypal madness associated with keepers.
Good for him and long may it continue.

Still a cult hero to me.

Lovely bloke, who appreciated the club more than the average player.

As others have mentioned, his injury or price-tag werent his own doing - in fact he even took a pay cut to join.

Brilliant.
I'm a right sucker for things like this.

Will love to see what he will do when (hopefully) when we score and beat the filth !

always remember Simon Tracey doing a 'Fjortoft' style celebration in the 2-0 win in '91 and you see him fly past the camera :0)

Absolutely fantastic. Too bad the angle doesn't capture his knee-slide into the South Stand for McGoldrick's winner!
Totally unprofessional. He's got to learn where the camera is, and stay within range. (Long may it continue - truth is, I think we all want him to continue celebrating with the fans, not for the camera.) And I hope we all remember this love if/when he makes a howler or two; he's a young keeper, and well in credit already.

I particularly liked his Cantona-esque pose right at the death after claiming that cross, and sliding on his knees holding the ball in one hand.
That was the highlight of the game for me :D
We were up against it and they launched an Alamo style attack with a high ball into the box. It needed the keeper to deal with it. And he did.

How much do we need to cough up to sign him long-term then? Sam Johnstone (Deano/Hendo's main competition at Man Utd) went to West Brom for £6.5m in the summer.

It's not like they need the money and they have the world's best goalkeeper, who's still only 27. Come on Jose, help us out pal.

I doubt we'd be able to afford him, unless we do a deal similar to the Bryan one, where we pay a nominal amount but Man U get 1st refusal at a set value or large sell on clause.

Good deal for everyone really. We get a player we wouldn't otherwise get, the player gets first team football without moving clubs every year or having to sit on the bench that he apparently doesn't want to do and Man U have a player who could potentially be their number one in a few years time a guaranteed price when in reality he could be worth a lot more. Ok, we lose potentially millions in a sell on price, but then if we couldn't afford to buy him anyway we have only gained, and had the use of a very good player for three years.

I can see this being the model for a lot of young players as prices spiral upwards, putting even inexperienced youngsters at big clubs out of the price range of most clubs, whilst the selling club gets a player off their books who has no realistic chance of playing and game experience in a settled environment but has the reassurance that if they do come good they can buy them back at a knock down price.
