but we were very poor...Birmingham were very unlucky.
I have to say I question why Wilder made all those changes?.....Johnson, Washington and Woodburn just aren’t at the standard needed or expected at the minute.
Don’t know what happened to Norwood...he had a shocker.....the only positive for me was Egan....solid.
Very frustrating, negative performance....must improve and quick!

We will have games where we will underperform and to be honest I didn’t think Brum looked up to much until around 75 mins. Glad to get a point from it.

It is concerning we didn’t have a shot though !

First half you could see exactly why he made those changes.

Fleck was obvious.

Wingbacks - pace and running at them, trying to get the ball in the air on crosses.

Leon and Washington - they didn’t link up well, however the movement from both in linking up play in that second third was decent, as well as height.

However, Washington needed to anticipate.

See pieces from Norwood were poor, but creativity in that first half was decent.

One clear cut chance and it falls to Boldock:confused:

chris has overthought it
should have been fleck for lunny george for kiran .. end.

Washington not at it.
Fleck looked leggy.
Bash, Egan and Hendo the pick.
Poor overall. Needed Sharp on the pitch to polish off one of those first half crosses and Didsy to start.

Impressed by Brum’s defensive organisation. Solid mid table side.

Fleck was not match fit, at least second half. But he has to play as we are so short of good enough options.

Can understand the changes but I haven’t seen anything to get overly excited about from Washington or Johnson.

Washington seems to me to be a more expensive Matt Done.

Johnson, it’s obvious he’s played under Tony Pulis. He seems scared to cross halfway with the ball and when he gets in to a crossing position he seems to panic.

I hope to be proved wrong

Didn’t deserve a point but kinda makes up for Saturday in that respect. Poorest I’ve seen us in a long time - credit to Brum, knew how to stifle us and for long period they did exactly that.

Fleck and Norwood had shockers, gave the ball away at every opportunity and the longer the game went on the worse it got.

Once Duffy ran out of steam we had absolutely nothing in midfield and reverted to long hopefull balls to no one in particular and that was never going to trouble a competent defence.

We got one point more rhan we deserved so lets just take it and move on.

No point in dwelling on the negatives, the players will know that they didn't do themselves justice tonight so they won't need me or anyone else to tell them.

Oh but they will.

They will be told on social media and here how they are 'shit' and 'wank' after one below par performance.

We can't put it down to a bad day at the office, we have to wade in and destroy each player in turn just so they know how lucky they are to have the 'best fans in the land' supporting them.

Christ, I'm begining to sound like Pinchy, but some of this 'woe is me' stuff does my head in.
One mediocre game, FFS!

Keep forgetting to ask, why Didsy?

On a free transfer?

The near post played did ok, well it kept a goal out!

Too many players had an off night, and I don't think our strength in depth is as good as we think, the best starting 11 is nearly there but if you take more than one or two out or a couple have a bad game we don't have enough game changers to come off the bench, this goes back to budget and the kind of players we can buy. Take Norwood for example, one of our best purchases and he is quality, however he can't perform at the top of his game every week, otherwise he'd have cost £6m and we wouldn't have bought him, we need patience and manage our expectations, we've come a long way in the last 100 games

It was a disappointing performance, and a solid one from Birmingham, but a point was never going to be a bad result tonight.

And we got that point despite resting players.

Now we've got a very winnable game on Saturday, against a Preston team without Ben Pearson, their midfield destroyer and best player.

4 points would be a good haul, and was the most I expected.

The positive is that I think Norwood may well have gotten all his bad games out of the way in one game.

The last twenty minutes were utter garbage to the point I have no idea where it came from.

I was more frustrated in the first half because we had all of the ball, were making some very nice passes, but it was all far too safe. I expect us to start pushing players forward when we get on top in a game and instead we seemed more than happy to just push it around and be comfortable. I assumed at some point we'd pick up the pace and go for the kill then somehow our whole shape seemed to fall apart. Fleck was poor. Norwood started losing the ball like Jordan Stewart in his prime. In the end we were lucky to get away with a point.

Can I just say, hats off to George baldock tonight.
Last season Maghoma, at their place had a stormer, he didn’t get a lookin tonight. Well done George.

Positives were Henderson being faultless again, Egan looking like the dominating centre half we needed last season and the fact we took a point in a game we deserved to lose.

Here's my attempt at positivity :D

Although it was a below par performance, we got a point more than we deserved and Wendy fell down the table while we moved into the play offs again.

We have a favourable run of fixtures coming up while over the way...
