when he says “cheat” i thought he meant that Duffy doesn’t track his man and stays out of position when the opposition has the ball
This. When a midfielder doesn’t track back every time he is cheating by not doing the supposed job of a midfielder. United’s System allows him to do this it’s a risk reward thing

UTB

“Sheff weds’ have always had excellent away support, far better than United’s, Wednesday would of sold their allocation Saturday.”
they invade every forum to further their claptrap
its not like anything a city would say
if we were playing bristol rovers I wouldnt compare their support to citys , ever
I simply wouldnt care

and checked wednesday did NOT sell out at bristol city

What's even better is that those 1,426 Wednesdayites saw their team get a 4-0 thrashing.

Stop it with all the facts. Wednesdayites only believe hearsay.

Are you implying Wednesday fans sign up to other forums to big up their away following when clubs play us?

That's just daft.
in a word ,,, yes , they know we read other clubs fans comments pre and post game
so slip in an appropriate snide comment , easily achieved

Funny mixture of decent knowledge and absolute bollocks here.

“Balham is a player I’ve underrated until I saw him at Bramall Lane last season, where he proved a better footballing CB than I’d give him credit for. Can be prone to rash tackles when rattled, so might suit Taylor!! Egan is a good alround CB and a good acquisition. In all, a back 3 you’d be more than happy with, but like a lot of Champ central defenders, can be exposed down the sides. Norwood was a really astute signing, can play the Pack role without perhaps the passing range, but don’t ignore his quality from set-pieces. Will keep the ball moving…so we mustn’t give him time to bypass our press. John Fleck – red carded at their place last season. Tenacious midfielder with moments of quality. Need to commit him on the stretch, as he can’t resist a tackle. Mark Duffy is the dangerman – bit of a journeyman, but found his identity at SU, and a real threat. Will cheat in midfield, and if you think where Weimann was picking up the ball in 20 yards of space v BR, that’s where Duffy will want to receive the ball, but instead of Weimann having one forward colleague, Duffy will have two, and their launching of breakaways is very impressive. LJ talked of ‘transition’ with Twentyman on Monday…SU are the epitome of this with Duffy the key to springing Freeman or the front-men Didn’t start the 2 defeats, can only imagine he wasn’t fully fit.”

The stand out probably being that they should seek to get Fleck booked/sent off by deliberately exposing themselves to possible hard tackles. Because that's something you do isn't it?

And 'moments of quality'. Fuck me.

Pack must be one of the best players in the country as well...

to be fair they watch other teams like we do and only often see highlights so dont see it all
I probably have the same views on their players , sketchy at best
they wont have seen 80 per cent of what fleck and duffy are capable of

One of them used the word ‘epitome’. Is it pronounced ‘epitome’ or ‘epitome’?

Me and my mate are at each other’s throats right now. He says ‘epitome’ and I say ‘epitome’.

Who’s getting floored?

I know I’m adding fuck all to the comments but still.... I’m out with the mrs and her mates until Vicki’s fella turns up so I’m bored

Unfortunately, in 2016-2017, their average away following during the league season (excluding play offs) was 2,521 and ours 1,622. I can't find last season's numbers.
It was probably better than theirs but the NSA,CIA,FBI,MI5,MI6,SpetNaz,SAS,SBS,YMCA,TWG,RSPB,RSPH (Royal Society for protection of Hedgehogs) couldn't have this, so they all launched a joint operation to steal and alter the figures.....or so I heard....:D

Some great comments and this Balham sounds like a reet player!

I've also written to the FA demanding we get a points deduction. It seems only fair to other fans, as we have a midfielder that 'cheats' by not doing what is expected.

Lol, always a whiff of Pork at the end isn’t there?

Yes there is
I wonder how fucking stupid someone has to be to post something like that on the forum of a team who we took more fans to than them last year.

And if it is a Bristol fan that wrote it, recent history has seen us take such HUGE followings that a mass pitch invasion saw the Bristol fans get chased out of their own stadium

Hate to say it but Wednesday do take more away than us, last year QPR, Millwall, Reading fans I know all said the same. Even this season a Sunderland mate commented how poor our turnout at Boro was compared to the Pigs at their place for a crappy cup game on tv. Whilst our home attendances are closer than ever, I don't think the away support is. I would be surprised if we sold more away tickets than them last season but if i'm wrong tell me.

There's a Millwall fan who always posts on here when they are playing us. He says we always have a bigger following at their place than Wendy.
They always seem to struggle to sell tickets for Elland Road yet their fans seem to "Give it large" at places like York and Doncaster. Has anyone got any ideas why this is?

OK, I've read that a few times and whilst I presume spell checker has come up with CHEAT I can't think of the word he wanted to use. Or did he mean Cheat and I really don't understand?
“Create” but missed the last “e” then spellchecked to “cheat”.

Edit: note to self - always read to end!

The guy who posted that comment has been a member of that forum since 2012.

He's obviously not a Wednesday fan.

Good apprIasal all in all from the wurzels & the previously unnoticed appreciation of our CH - Balham .. agree I think it will be a good game with goals ... 2-2
Lynchpin.

Some great comments and this Balham sounds like a reet player!

Player of the season, Nottingham Universary Law Society Football FC, 2005/06. The pedigree is there.
