The last time the Blades gave sumbody a reight tanking ?

Perhaps 5-0 against the pigs might be on the cards. :D

Having scanned through our results of the last few seasons, it looks like we've not won a league game 4-0 since the promotion season. Other than that there was a 5-0 cup game against the might of Morecambe under Robson, where Sharp and Shelton just about found their level.
I guess it just wouldn't be the blades way to demolish teams, it's much more like us to scrap to a nervy one goal win.

Having missed us put 6 past West Brom due to extenuating circumstances, I've only seen us win 5-0 once in the flesh in a league match, against Rotherham. Even 4-0s have been pretty bloody rare!

hope your right beighton

would love to see us stuff those piggy bastards

in fact i think i would retire to my deathbed

I'm still recovering from shock at the positivity displayed by beighton. keep it up mate, you know it makes sense.

On the other hand we dont get absolutely thrashed very often , unlike the filth next door ,did not Newcastle, Boro and QPR all stick 8 past em, and i recall forest sticking 7 past em at the Sty.

Not to mention the seven at Arsenal, and (for one of my personal favourites), the dirties sticking six past them at Hellsbore, shown for us all to see on ITV, in the bad old days when the pubs shut on Sunday afternoons.

Or you could say the good old days when football was still regularly shown live on terrestrial TV.

Nope, the bad old days :D

Selective memories here, I can recall far too clearly sitting in the splendour of the Emirates seeing the boys being given a lesson last season.

And your point is :D

I also remember us getting hit for six by Citeh when Asaba got a second yellow for diving, whilst being carried off injured on a stretcher.

I remember the game against city very well... stayed to the bitter end despite being hammered all game.

On a different note, I seem to bump into carl asaba all the friggin time!!

Ok then , was it four past us by the spam the year of our promotion with bassett.
(waits to be proved wrong)

5-0. Jimmy Quinn got a hat-trick. Stuart Slater murdered Chris Wilder that night. One of the best displays I have seen by an opposing player against the Blades

Charlton last year?

I'm with The One, I think 5-2 at Chrlton last year was a spanking. I was at the game and we did spank them. They we truly, truly awful but watching the Red and White wizards stick the ball in the net 5 times against anybody is bloody marvellous! :D

i remember us putting 4 past birmingham at home one year not to long ago as well as all the rest you mentioned. What about away at leeds a few years ago to??

The Birmingham game was on 17/11/01 and included Monty's first goal, one for Brown and two for Peschisolido.

You're getting your Man City games mixed up. The 6-0 thrashing was on 21/8/99. Tracey was sent off for a professional foul in the area and Aidan Davison game on to go in goal and let in the pen.

Asaba didn't join us until March 2001 and the famous "booking on the strecher" was in the 0-0 draw on 16/10/01 (and it was only his first booking).

Thrashing teams is always a bit special, usually because it is totally unexpected. 5-0 against the piggies would be brilliant on so many levels.

The most memorable ones for me were the 5-2 thrashings we gave out at Forest (John Gannon's right foot) and obviously Leicester, and a 7-3 win over Northampton when we were 6-0 at half time (I think it was the 4th division).

In Bassett's first full season, we scored 4 or more goals in 10 league games!!

How Many time!! It was 3-0 at HT in the Northampton game :-)
