Norwood and Coutts Together?

If Norwood had played shit people would be saying ‘don’t judge him on three games’. So why are we judging him after three games? Brayford was immense when he first joined us.
I’m not only judging him on three games B.B, I’m judging him on the numerous amount of times I’ve seen him in recent seasons, he’s a class act.

I don’t normally like to jump in there early but I think it’s pretty obvious he won’t have many bad games.

He is indeed a class act. An excellent signing at great value for money. Not bad for a club I’m told is a shambles in the transfer market.

We have some fabulous proper footballers in our midfield now. The best for half a century in my view. Some of our passing is astonishingly good. 16 and 17 pass moves leading to goals. In the context of our present level it’s Barcaesque at times.

Yes,great to watch us zipping the ball around, and even more impressive is the amount of difficult passes we make..it's not just passing it safe; we still kept the ball and some great one touch passing aswell..Villa had no answer.

I just knew he were one of those that went early in CASE there 's a QUE at the BAR...

I see Norwood and Coutts competing for the same role in midfield. For me, Norwood is easily better than Coutts, he can do everything Coutts can and more.

Look at the goals on Saturday, that summed it up perfectly why he is better. Great ball on the set piece in for O’Connell’s goal, goal directly from a free kick (when did that last happen?) and how he won the ball then played in Freeman for Sharp’s goal.

The quality of midfielders must be extremely high in the Premier League if Fulham and Brighton don’t think he is good enough for that level.
He’ll get there with us and enjoy it.

Maybe but Brayford didn’t have such an influence on the whole team like Norwood seems to have.

to the tune hes no good

hes Norwood hes Norwood hes Norwood baby hes Norwood
yes well sing it again
hes Norwood hes Norwood baby hes Norwood

keep it simple

I'm not sure whether Coutts and Norwood can play in the same line up, I certainly think it would require a change in shape and I'm not sure we should attempt that unless we a) are 2 or 3 up and have the luxury of trying something new out, or b) need to change the game to get something out of it.

What I am sure of is that (as if we didn't already know) signing Norwood was a master stroke. Not only is he a brilliant player, but if you look at the turning point last year, losing Coutts who plays a very similar game to Norwood severely impacted the way our team played, he was a key part. Now we have 2 players for a key role. That's how we improve on last season, by making sure we don't fall down where we did the year before.

We've debated it over and over, on some of the more negative threads in depth about whether Wilder is out of his depth etc. but it's really this simple, perfectly demonstrated by Norwood signing.
