What really annoys you when listening to Radio Sheffield? Be it in the commentary, football heaven, interviews or just the presenters in general?

Should get us through the international break...

For me it's when they start off the commentary with "kicking right to left" - who the f**king hell cares what way they're kicking? We don't care where you're sitting in the ground and from what direction the players are kicking in correlation to that - it doesn't paint me a picture or enhance my listening experience whatsoever.

Yes it's so bloody annoying when they tell the audience accurate facts about the game

Radio Sheffield has many annoyances, but telling us that the Blades are kicking towards the Bramall Lane end in the first half isn't one of them. Radio commentators are told to give listeners a mental picture. They may also mention what the weather is like and how full the ground is. What's wrong with that?

Is it a fact that they're kicking left to right?
They'd be right to left at the other side.
If they were behind the goal they'd be kicking top to bottom or bottom to top.

It's a load of bollocks.

When they're away from home and we're kicking 'left to right' or 'right to left' what on earth is that doing to paint a mental picture?

The weather I understand. The colours of the kits. Colour fucking boots, fine. But what direction we're kicking in correlation to where they're sitting?!

I was working the day we played Bolton at home in the League One fixture, it was an important game as you all know.

I finished my work and got in the car at 3.20 pm and tuned in to the live broadcast. By this time United were 1-0 up, but of course I didn't know that.
The commentary was going on and on and I was just screaming at the radio presenters to "TELL ME THE EFFING SCORE"

Then at 3.30 the commentary said "Here come United looking to extend their lead" so at least I knew we were winning, but even then I didn't know whether it was 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 5-0, I'd no idea.

I found out it was 1-0 a couple of minutes before half time, about 22 minutes after tuning in.

I genuinely think RS offers a brilliant football service, and by and large the presenters are excellent and professional. I really don't get all the 'radio owls' or 'Radio Blades' criticism. If both sets of fans think that they favour the other team, what does that tell you.
I have occasionally tuned in to other local radio sport, and believe me, our lot a very good in comparison.

"There's just one bloke singing in the BLUT today"

I do agree to be fair, but there are some pretty annoying things about it

Yes, that’s my main gripe with them as well. Very frustrating.

You must watch too much telly. Commentary for Radio has to be more descriptive for obvious reasons.

Do they have live broadcasts for our home games?
