Watching Leeds v Borough game, got me thinking what’s the worst away end you’ve been in? Elm Park old Reading was bad. But that dungeon in the corner at Leeds. I’ve been in better pigeon Coutts!

Edgeley Park at Stockport County when it was an open terrace was pretty grim, especially when it rained.

It did have the added bonus one beautiful year, of being close enough for Andy Dibble to clearly hear all the playful banter directed at his generous tum in the second half. Dibble failed to see the funny side and quite fairly, directed a selection of industrial quips back.

He who laughs last, laughs longest however, and when the tubby bitch got sent off, an outfield player had to take his place and unfortunately for Dibble - the vast Goalkeeper jersey, tightly stretched over his blubbery frame too.

The look of resignation on his plump, pink face was priceless when he realised he would be forced to take the aforementioned jersey off, right in front of the away end full of his new chums. The bright floodlights illuminating his pasty, milky white tits and belly to the point of almost blinding us behind the goal, were not enough to dampen our mirth as he trudged off for an early bath with the chant of 'You Fat Bastard' ringing in his shell like.

Yes Edgeley Park was a grim, shitty away end. But for that second half, I wouldn't have swapped it for the Nou Camp.

Got to be Millmoor for me. The half time refreshments were amazing though. Got a pie & a coffee (the pie was fucking superb) and I can't remember exactly how much I paid but I'm fairly sure it was less than £3. (this would have been round about 2003 I think)

Actually, Gillingham is far worse than Millmoor. Fucking terrible away end. No roof and the refreshments, when I went, was a terrible little burger van.

The away end at Milmoor is bizarrely the best stand in the ground. That's not saying much mind.......

The old Donny Belle Vue & Oxford Manor Ground were the worst away ends I’ve stood on. Didn’t help that it pissed it down when I went.

Amen to the pies pal! Fantastic at Millmoor.

As for away ends - I thought QPR was bad when I went other week.

leicester, Coventry, Middlesbrough, Reading, Derby all these nondescript out of Town sh*t holes. Give me Millmore, Bury, Peterborough any day of the week.

During the 4th Division season , I missed only 4 away games , and there were some very bleak grounds around then! The Shay at Halifax readily springs to mind , we won 5-1 , but they had hastily built a wall out of Breeze blocks in the middle of the away section a few days before the game , which collapsed during it , injuring a lot of Blades fans.

Whilst in the Championship (or the old Division 1), it’d be either Stockport or Gillingham. Didn’t mind Millmoor so much.

Oxford Manor Ground dangerous drop at the back. Like a large wasteland. Also Gillingham poor, Newport County poor, Exeter City poor. Bury poor too. Went to Swillsborough last time in sixties terrible smell of pork vowed never to return and never have

Odd sal stadium (Bradford). I think we stood on a grass verge! The base of corner flags were almost level with the crossbar due to it being curved as it was used for speedway.
