Three or four of you are; for attention. Perhaps you could dance the knee-jerk together rather than subjecting the rest of us to mind-numbing, repetitive drivel? Or maybe a quick game of Junior Computer Manager?
If you think 3 strikers, one of which is injury prone, is competent to compete at the top end of the championship, dunce would be too kind.

So who would you be happy for us to sign? Who would disprove your claim that Wilder has no ambition to get promoted?
Why do you keep saying in some sort of weird point towards me that he has no ambition to get promoted? What on earth are you crowing on about?

LJ mate thats not the point. IF true and notice the IF this is a major balls up. Wilder has said all summer he was hoping to bring in 2 forwards and we now have less strikers than at the start of the summer.

We should have kept hold of Donaldson and Evans if we weren't confident of getting better replacements.

Anyway I think we'll end up with someone who hasn't.been mentioned yet

"If we don't sign a Striker we have no ambitions of getting promoted". You've also mentioned the 'no ambition' thing before.

Who were you talking about if you weren't talking about the man who is responsible for signing said Striker?

Who has ballsed it up though?

The last time I checked the manager doesn't fund the signings

Has Wilder ever said he hasn't got the funds? There's been no suggestion from Wilder that he isn't being given enough money to spend.

3 of the 4 are recent promotion winners.

Tomer Hemed is better than any of our forwards.
Wells scored 10 in Huddersfield’s promotion season from over 40 league games..... wow..
Armstrong won promotion from league 1. What proof is there he can play top end of the championship?
Baldock got 11 when Brighton got promoted and has lived off 1 good season 5 years ago with Bristol City.
Hemed got 13 when Brighton went up and is 31 years of age. You really think he’s that much better than we have?
Your not getting the point are you? Do any of these players fit into the way we play? Obviously Wilder thinks not. I suggest you do your football homework more thoroughly in future rather than grasping at straws as you become more desperate than United.

Exactly my point.

People say we 'shouldn't sign someone for the sake of it' - well we really f**king should. I can't be doing with Caolan Lavery upfront at any stage.
Pathetic..... Signing a player for the sake of it would be a total waste of funds and utterly pointless if they are very unlikely to play and Wilder doesn’t fancy them

He played as a lone striker, a thankless task as Huddersfield set up to not lose in most games. They maximised their talent and got promoted doing so. They got promoted with him spearheading the attack - period.

There is no proof Armstrong is good enough, but he's worth a punt at the price Blackburn paid. He's only as proven as Ashley Fletcher who we are apparently after.

Hemed and Baldock with 13 and 11 respectively - but more importantly a promotion.

These aren't just goalscorers, they're winners. Tell me about the goal records of the 2 we're apparently after in Hogan and Fletcher please I beg you. And tell me why they're better options than those listed.

Can we have a Nixon Claxon?

"SHEFF U. Getting more frustration in striker search. Hogan can't go without VILLA signing one. And cost of Fletcher at BORO higher than expected."

Of course, having Caolan Lavery as our cover in an injury crisis (very realistic with McGoldrick's history) is much better. Keep up.

What's his ambition got to do with anything then? If the names aren't there they're not there.
It's come to a point we're waiting for Villa to sign someone to free up an injured Scott Hogan. What a great position.

Exactly, that's my point. I wasn't the one questioning anyone's ambition, that was you.

You said we aren't ambitious if we don't sign a Striker. Does it matter which Striker or will anyone do? Who is it that would make you happy?

Bit in paper.

I was questioning the ambition of the club, not the manager.

I'd rather we didn't sign Emile Heskey. But pretty much anyone better than Caolan Lavery is fine at this stage.

You just don’t get it do you? We don’t play with a loan striker and more importantly Wilder doesn’t and didn’t fancy any of them! Should he have signed them just because you do?

Whats us playing with a 'loan' striker got to do with anything? Neither had Wells until then. He's now playing with Hemed at QPR.

We should be looking to sign any improvement to Caolan Lavery.

Signing a player for the sake of it would be a waste of funds I agree. Signing a player that's an improvement on Lavery, who will almost certainly play at some stage given McGokdricks injury record, is surely not a waste of money.

Im not advocating we pay the likes of Hogan or Fletcher huge money just to get them, I just think we will need another striker or we will be relying on Lavery who isn't a Championship player and hasn't even had a pre season.

Tell you what let’s sign Jordan Slew. I’m sure he’s available...... Ridiculous? Yes but try listening to yourself
