Fundraise for a fansite

We're trying to raise a few 'bob' for this very site. We have thrown together a few 'rewards' (not prizes!) to coax your hand, enter your bank details and donate to a good cause.

Our aim is to raise £250 between today (the 24th Aug) and the 7th of September.

What is the funding for?

This site costs time and money. Domain renewals, hosting, bandwidth, development and licensing, and the costs they incur, are not cheap. We are trying to raise a wee bit of money to cover some of those costs.

After the 7th September, we will withdraw the funds and donate via the functionality on the site.

It's a great 'service' although I hesitate to use such a clinical word. It's a brilliant project by passionate people. And it enables us to natter away, laugh, cry - dunt it?

There isn't 'a' reason. And you might be right. But in the first instance, it was just an idea to generate a few quid for the site and then chucking in prizes to create the illusion of an opportunity to win big. Think of it as the lottery, but with a better prize.
