Great save by Henderson but the Norwich player was about 12 yards offside. Ridiculous that he wasn't flagged!
Looked pretty obvious that he was clean through after JOC's clearance was deflected live

Billy doing what he does part 2,000,000 why people think he's done is beyond belief.

Wilder has just said the goal wouldn’t have counted if it had gone in.
The 4th official told him it was clear off-side and he’d have made sure it was disallowed, whatever that means?

Is there a ref who comes on here who can explain why that is not offside. By my understanding of the law, its off.

The loan player should have been booked after the goal as well. What's the point of that rule if it's not implemented when a player does that in front of opposition fans?

Lots of positives today though. Really enjoyed it

Oh, so nearly 2 hours and no sign of Mark Clattenberg sorting this out so I'll have a go

"A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is touched or played by a teammate is only penalised for committing an offside offence if, in the opinion of the referee, they become involved in active play by:

Interfering with play
"playing or touching the ball passed or touched by a team-mate" Etc. etc. etc.
So this implies that if the attacking player touches or plays a ball to the offside player then it's offside.

However the rules also state
"It is also not an offence if the ball was last deliberately played by an opponent...." Was the referee's thinking that the Norwich player didn't deliberately play the ball? Pretty shit decision in my opinion.

I think this part is saying that if your opponent plays it towards his own goal you’re not offside.

So if attacker A is trying to pass to attacker B, who is in an offside position, if it deflects off a defender then that isn’t a deliberate playing of the ball by the defender and B is still offside. If the defender intercepts the pass then plays a terrible backpass putting B through on goal, then B isn’t offside.

Two of the three Norwich players were yards offside and the linesman was in the correct position. I’m sure the match officials people will confiscate his flag after this.

Watched the highlights. Seems Norwood was detrimental to 80 percent of the highlights. Classy player who I can't wait to see more of. Amazing win (more how we went about it) and it's always good to see that piggy bastard Rhodes smile wiped off his face.
