Its started, name calling, moaners, clappers whatever.

a) Those who are appeh yoyo between L1 and the championship wi a reyght good manager who's a Blade and sups copious amounts of Peroni and can build an average team that sells anything better on a budget and owners who can't afford their hobby and use it to their personal ends your dreams are answered.

b) Those of us who want to participate in the modern game with young competitive players (home grown and foreign), make it to the PL, participate in Europe, see the most talented players on the planet at BDTBL. To achieve this you must be prepared for the club to become a global brand run by money wielding corporate suits or a savvy billionaire. Owners who would be prepared to make it worth Wilders while to take a nice big thank you and make way for a top young manager savvy in the fast silky skills of the modern game and an international scouting system.

I fit into b) but respect the fact that a) have reached their goal in the hobby they support. Please respect my desire to be part of something bigger I will not call you names but will argue for b). I will not be a McCabe following sheep to help him win a spat of his own making. He and BRP can f*** right off then f*** off some more for all I care.

Based on the games in this calendar year (31) I am a keyboard warrior and I have an agenda not an opinion. Owners out, wilder out, average out and modern era of SUFC in.

Where exactly are we yoyoing between L1 and the championship? Its stupid comments like that, which completely devalue any kind of reasonable debate. We pissed league 1, then had a solid season in the championship under wilder finishing in a really respectable position. We have improved the squad from last season (not enough granted, but its improved) and have had a rough start to the season (2 games) and all of a sudden we are yoyoing between leagues? Come off it.

Luckily, seasons are defined over 46 games, and not by a period of time which suits a persons point (back end of last season, or first 2 games of this season) - lets at least have a decent stab at the first 1/4 of this season before we all start throwing the baby out of the bathwater eh? I know its not a popular opinion when its so easy to throw constant daggers around though, however reasonable it may seem. Wilder has very clearly been backed given what we have spent on Egan, the bid we had in for Waghorn and the loans of Woodburn and Henderson wont be cheap either but Wilder doesnt want to break the wage structure, its his decision, if it backfires then fine its on him, but 2 dreadful games will not shape our season, someone pointed out that we got 1 point from our first 4 games in league 1 when we pissed the title. Perspective is required but, seems to be lacking.

I’m just going to criticise Wilder from now on and then when he eventually gets the sack (all managers have a shelf life) I can say ‘told you so’ like I’m a visionary.
the OP does have a point though. we are on a definite downward trajectory. it needs sorting. CW has done it before and he can do it again but he needs to stop being so pig headed. perhaps something goes on behind the scenes i have no idea but we're not putting our best 11 out. i don't know what it is with Duffy. There is something we aren't being told. i've said this for ages. There is a reason he misses one game in four and can only last 65 minutes. perhaps he has some debilitating sickness. perhaps he is a piss artist. who knows but i do know this if he could play 90 minutes week in week out he wouldn't be here he is too good for this league

The plane Boss, the plane.......

Huddersfield Town are loving their Billionaire Chairman Dean Hoyle from Mirfield and their huge global brand...

A birthday card salesman worth less than our owner with a much smaller fan base

or

Burnley and their 2 owners worth about 80m between them

We have just played 2 of the favorites for the league and we have lost both, we will improve! Our manager is the best we've had in a long long time if we finish above 15th and above Wednesday this season and our ownership situation is resolved then I believe its a season of consolidation which is what we expected last season but over achieved.

Only slight concern is the striker situation but if we get a decent loan or decide to play 1 upfront with the likes of Duffy and Woodburn in behind then it will work itself out.

Possibly. We don’t look ‘at it’ at the moment. On the other hand, maybe we’ve just played two of the top clubs and been beaten. Two teams with parachute payments.
It’s too early to tell. It’s a concern at the moment, granted. But we lost plenty of games when Duffy started last season. Maybe we’d still have lost if he’d started the last two.

It’s difficult to be rational right now, I’m as pissed off as anyone but if you added a couple of ‘fams’ and ‘bluds’ it would be just like Arsenal TV on here today.

Telling it like it is is not being a moaner. If the manager fucks up, or any of the players come to that, then what's wrong with saying so. The result on this forum is to be accused of being a Wilder hater and having an "agenda" (that's a catch-all for those with a limited vocabulary). Since he came into the team I have consistently stated that Lundstram's shite. Of course I was in a minority of 2 or 3 posters, was pilloried for this and accused of being a Lundstram hater and having an agenda. But now 90% of the forum apparently agrees with me. So what's all this got to do with the OP? We need another category: The "telling it like it is-ers" (i.e. the one's who are usually right).

i'm kind of hoping that behind the scenes CW is telling Lundstram (and Evans) . 'look lad i've stuck by you but you're crap and you're making me look a cunt .. so.. sorry mate '

In life, I have learned that occasionally, in moments of pure clarity of thought, to be silent or still, is infinitely more impactful.

I in the past have been branded the same due to my opinions. Considered negative and I know how annoying it is when "Clappers" play the man and not the ball. So no matter how much I disagree with you I won't pretend you don't have any valid points.

I cannot agree on Wilder, I still think he's a great manager and in time will get us to where we want to be. I think the main problem is further up the ladder. If we get that sorted, get a decent budget and are able to set out a decent scouting network, and wilder still isn't able to take us that next step then I would be with you. I personally can't see anyone doing better then him.

I certainly don't fall into a) I am ambitious. I just think with a good owner the sky will be the limit with wilder despite his shortcomings ( of which I admit there is some, he is a man not a god)

Where exactly are we yoyoing between L1 and the championship?

I'm hypothesising that's what could happen with our current ownership/management/wages policy and I for one don't want to be doing a Rovvrum or Barnsley while the game grows beyond our club.
One question I ask myself is if the ownership was sorted and we had a backer with big bucks and he said put a skilful young side together using all the countries would I think CW was the right man to spend that money and I don't think he is.

CW has done it before and he can do it again
But can he do it at this level?

Yeh, maybe you have a point is there a mid point between a) & b) that keeps CW backed by new ownership? My concern is his intransigence since the bad run of 8 in 31 in this calendar year.

Can’t believe CW is happy either, don’t forget after the last 2 seasons we’ve had, his reputation as Sky rocketed. He’s not getting his team to play crap deliberately, it doesn’t look good on him. I’m no clapper, I’ve slagged him off elsewhere big time. But the next day when everything’s calmed a little, you get perspective. He’ll sort it, if he can’t ,he’ll walk.

After looking intransigence up I'm inclined to agree. What does give me hope though weve been here before, and he made the bold move of switching everything. Ultimately it got us promoted. So I don't think there's an unwillingness to change. My fear is due to the personal weve restricted ourselves to our current formation or something very similar. Again though, I think if we had more funds he probably wouldn't of left himself short.

Yeah, it didn’t work out in 2016 and 2017 BB, the chuff turned it around big time but fingers crossed, third time lucky, and your visionary status will be secured.

When all are silent nothing changes.
Better to be open and identify a problem, have a plan to fix it and then go and do it.
Most I see labelled as "moaners" on here are what I would call those wanting "continuous improvement" and not to stand still or go backwards. Continuous improvement for me (thereby a moaner).

Pigeonholing has clearly started too... yet those who you categorise as a) do not exist. No one would be happy/appeh to yo-yo between Champ and L1, and I've not seen a single post that suggests that. So why come up with it?

We would all love to see the best players - from wherever - and compete at the top level, but to make it happen is not in our control, however much we desire it. Where will these owners come from? Who is the top young manager? I don't see how this dreaming gets anyone anywhere! If b) was so easy, wouldn't everyone be doing it? Ideal or not, we have to play with the cards dealt.

IF, in your words we gain the attention of money wielding corporate suits or a savvy billionaire, most Blades would be willing to follow, as long as they are legit and respect the fans. But even then, it's not a given money equals success, just look at S6.

I’m kaizen, me, proper kaizen. :)

I like that word Kaizen, a new one on me.
Each transfer, free kick and tactic should aim to be a little bit better than before.
Be nice to see some recent evidence of it.
