During the close season I've seen smoke bombs set off at the World Cup, MotoGP. Formula 1 and the Tour de France. None of it caused the remotest fuss. Not even at the Tour de France where "asthma" is endemic amongst the top cyclists.

Indeed, if EVERY seat is now covered by CCTV, then every home seat should be available for use. Every away seat should also be available, especially if face images can be zoomed in on and away clubs take the relevant action.

So, if 2,850 away seats are now available instead of last seasons 2,300, it should pay for itself within about 1 season.

Can't wait for the liberal, PC brigade, to say what a violation it is to individual human rights etc.

Yes but SYP will now say that we need an extra 5000 police on duty to watch over the additional 550 away fans plus 2 to watch every camera (in case one misses something) leading to an extra 1 million pounds costs a year which Sheffield United should pay for or we will have to close the entire kop and cover it in netting as it’s not fair they should have to pay for doing the job every other fuckin force in the country does

Not that I would be encouraging it at all () but are these cameras within reaching distance of the supporters? And would there be any opportunity for a spot of accidental-on purpose damage so to speak at all? Just enough to render them unusable.
