It really winds me up the number of times the mecca is mis-spelt either in the media or even by our own fans. Now an official mail-out arranged by the club can't get it right!

I just received the new merchandise brochure and Cutting Edge in the post today and the Address sheet states:

"If undelivered, please return to: Sheffield United Football Club, Bramhall Lane......." oh and the postcode is S2 4SUR (!)

I suppose we should be thankful that merchandise orders don't require cheques to be payable to Wolverhampton Wanderers, like the brochure said last year!

Mabe I am just turning (prematurely) into a grumpy old man!

Nowt wrong wi bein a grumpy old bastard!!!!

Check out the preditiction leauge, stops yer bein grumpy.

Fantastic result today. We will go first 10 league games unbeaten - thats put mockers on it!!

Top of the league looks powerfull, it will be difficult to break into the top two.

Due to the strength of the the top teams I will predict now that the the top two this season will stay up next season.

It was also spelt "Bramhall" in the eNewsletter that gets sent out.

I sent a rather stuffy email to the Marketing department telling them that not knowing where United play is definitely a weakness to add to their SWOT analysis.

They changed it after that :)

The Marketing department don't cover themselves in glory to be honest. Mind you we should be thankful that as fans we don't get criticised by the club, which some dude elsewhere thinks is appropriate! Now that is bad marketing!

Last season there was an e-newsletter sent round which referred to a Crossbar Challenge competition in association with Weston Park Hospital. Cost about £1.50 a text to enter the draw to take part so I texted in. Got a text back thanking me for registering and asking for first name and age. Thought it was a bit strange but assumed they wanted a range of entrants in terms of demographics. After responding I then got another text back, asking me the age and sex of people I wish to meet!

I was a bit concerned that I had now registered with a text chat/dating service and it might be a bit difficult explaining the frequent texts to my wife. So I complained to the club (but not before replying 21, Female ;)) and I received a reply saying that an external provider had given the wrong number and although it wasn't stated, lines were not open for another week. I got a couple of free match tickets by way of apology, but given that a majority of the text (in a different font) seemed to be cut and paste from another email, I suspect that I wasn't the only one to have complained.
