Even if we lose to Belgium,it means we have finished 4th,and that is a great achievment.

Who cares.

Mandzukic he had one chance and he stuck it away, thats killer instinct helped by England players who were tiring and not thinking reyt.

Stones was stoned and gave him the chance, abysmal defending and it was coming, he was poor all night.

Only negative was the fact that Waistcoat left Alli and Lindgard on too long,Loftus Cheek should have come in one of those places just for fresh legs and fresh thought, and Vardy coming on had me scratchin my head.

My head was being scratched when they came out after a brilliant first half and thought they could sit back and let Modic piss about with the ball at will.

I wonder whether the mid-season break or lack thereof is still hurting us. It was blatantly obvious they were much fitter than us by the end. We've faded quite badly in a number of games actually. I wonder whether we need to manage games better in that aspect. Keeping the ball in midfield helps.

See I don't agree.

At HT I only expected them to tire and us to kick on. Yes they have 4 or 5 world class players but they're aging and in the 2 knockout games until tonight they've looked "leggy".
From 45mins onwards we were 2nd best. The Kane miss in the 1st half would be been given by VAR if it had gone in. Lingard missed a golden opp in the 2nd. That's the difference.
We rode our luck and randomly the equaliser was one of their worst chances. Walker shouldn't have dived, if he stays upright, he wins the ball or a free kick. Because he dived he was beaten to the ball.

All in all though. What a great world cup we've had. They've done us proud and we are going enough to really kick on for the Euros.

Bring it on you racist bastards!!!!

The disappointment about tonight was first half we got the tactic right. Getting in behind the big defenders pulliing their formation to shreds not letting them get any rhythm . Then we just failed to carry on with that. They got in their stride as we went off plan. They got composed and we lost our way. By not doing simple balls wide and keeping them deep

Christ, some people are miserable.

Had no expectations going in, hadn't really cared about an England team since 2006 and I've got to say it's been a brilliant few weeks. A great competition overall, with the unexpected pleasure of a likable England team going further than expected.

Blown a great chance to get to a World Cup Final...The equaliser was no surprise as we kept giving them the ball back, and they were bound to get a chance eventually...We got further than i expected, but feels like a missed opportunity.

Best team won. Although the gamesmanship from them peed me off.

I have for once enjoyed the World Cup but you have to put this down to a missed opportunity we should have been at least 3-0 up at HT, I said to our lass we will regret not taking those chances and so it proved Croatia got stronger as the game went on don't forget they had an extra day to recover from the previous game. I would have liked to have seen someone fresh in midfield Lingard has been struggling fitness wise all tournament maybe Loftus-Cheek would have added a bit of steel to the midfield. Still every cloud and all that at least the likes of Terry and Rooney have been fucked off for good we can only get better the down side of this good showing is that the pundit will be saying it is all down to the fantastic Premier League when the facts are a lot of the team have come through the lower leagues as it should be.

Fantastic achievement for a squad of decent footballers and athletes to get this far. Maybe they can go on.

But let’s be perfectly truthful here, the technique, movement and better overall tactical “nous” is showing through here.

Our peers develop footballers from a young age. We still fixate with big, fast, strong.

Will we ever learn ??

Hope I’m wrong.

This comment alone just shows exactly what you don’t know. Have a read about the changes that Southagate himself has made to the entire England set up and get back to me

Best team was told to sit deep and hang on rather than play their natural game. HT team talk was obviously the difference.

I think half time gave the players time to realise the enormity of the situation, they looked unsure of themselves after that. England lack a creative midfielder of the Gazza, Beardsley ilk. Maguire was excellent again, against some top players. I console myself with he fact we haven't been battered by the French. Couldn't have taken that.

Yes but when the draw hands you L1 teams to the semi and then you face a decent but beatable championship side you kinda expect to get to the final. Facts are England will always find a way to fuck it up. All they had to do was come out 2nd half and play the same way instead of dropping back 10 yards. Crazy tactics.

He can make as many changes as he wants. What’s ingrained is ingrained. It’s a seriously deep routed problem.

When the nation that is Croatia gives the mighty England a lesson in technical, dominating football, something CANT be right.

Get back to me once you have an understanding of the reasons I have stated what I have stated.

10 out of 10 (ish) for effort. But the cream, inevitably, rises to the top.

That said the refs have been bobbins and not just in our matches. This world cup has been confirmation that the standard of refs has dropped even at international level and it shows as VAR highlighted how much they get wrong.

Keane was , is and always will be a fucking prick of the highest order . And this summation of the vile cunt has absolutely nothing to do with tonight .

He was always a hero of mine. If I could've been any player from my youth then in all probability I would've picked him.

End of the day, we were undone by 2 bad defensive errors. Take the first one out, and we're playing in a world cup final.

Proud as fuck of that England side this tournament though. Exceeded expectations by quite some way IMO!

No , we were undone by being shit . Lack of ambition and creativity going forward has been obvious since the opening game . For all the hype surrounding Alli and Lindgard they might as well have been sitting next to me for most of the time and , throughout the team , there were too many who were happy to abdicate responsibility by passing sideways or backwards . To blame our demise on two defensive errors is naive in the extreme .

As for exceeding expectations , we beat a pub team and scraped home from set pieces against two others who can only be described as mediocre , at best .

Given the fortuitous draw and the substandard performances of the likes of Germany , Spain , Brazil and Argentina we will probably never have a better chance for another 50 years - and we blew it .

My newly acquired waistcoat has just gone on the bonfire .

You can't blame the ref or VAR for that second half showing. There was obviously new instructions issued at HT that backfired badly.

For me the big difference was that we stopped playing. What I mean is, first five minutes, lovely bit of control and skill from Lingard, feeds Dele and we win the free kick, which we score. The only other times we play, we create chances such as the one that Kane should have scored. From then on with very few exceptions we booted it hopefully over the top but generally gave it away cheaply. We needed to believe in ourselves and take more care of the ball - too many players just getting rid of it. When we passed it around, they were all over the place, when we stopped, it was too easy for them.

However both Lovren and Rebic should have had red cards - dirty fuckers.

I am not but I am saying the shitehouse tactics that Croatia and other teams have been allowed to get away with at this world cup.

Never been an "Ingurland" fan, especially over the past 15 years, mainly because of the entitled southern based tossers which appeared to dominate the side. Still not a fan (I'm a Blade very much first, Yorkshireman second, Ingurlander very much third) but I really enjoyed the tournament because the national side put some effort in and came across as reasonable human beings! They did well. Really important football starts soon, with Swansea!
