If anyone on here knows Gary Sinclair, can they politely suggest that he shoves that tune so far up his @r53 that no one will ever be able to hear it again - EVER..!

It is just naff beyond belief. I thought - hoped that we'd left it behind years ago but no, he still reels it out every bloody year. I would pay good money to be able to smash it out of existence into tiny pieces, I really would.

It is annoying, but it's going to stay I'd think.

Even when it isn't on, there are plenty of people who like to perform it themselves after a goal :)

Oh to go back to the days when all you heard was a cheer, clapping and then a muffled tannoy announcement.

I find myself making an effort not to clap in time with the bloody thing after we've scored. Needs filing under B1N.

my kids love it and were dissapionted when utd stopped playing it !!

so you adults will just have to grin and bare it LOL

I don't like it either.

I much prefer just hearing the roar of the crowd. It spoils celebrations in bigger games too I think.

Think they should stop scoring until the fans promise to behave. McCabe tried his best by selling Beattie. Blackwell helped by bringing in Beattie Mk2, but now he's gone and stuffed it with buying Evans. Someone should have a word.

Its crap.

It had its moment in 2003 when it was Nuddy's song, but we should've retired it at the end of that season when it all went wrong...

I haven't done that sh*te dance since that season and no amount of shoving it down my throat will get me doing it again, I was young and stupid then..

It's shit, never liked it, never will.

Next thing you know we'll have some shitty band at the top of the Kop who get banned and then invited back etc.

There's something else at the Lane that spoils goal celebrations amongst the fans and I can't quite put my finger on it . . . . . . now what is it? . . . . . . . erm . . . . . . Oh I know. Seats.

What about the entrance music, never a fan of Star Wars but I didn't like that either.

Prefer the Kill Bill track over both but it would be nice to have something original.

And while were at it can we get rid of that ridiculous mascot Captain Blade, he's had his fun now lets get rid. We've never had any success with him, I believe he's a bad omen or summat:thumbup:

I can think of loads of times when we have have had no luck, and that's way before Captain Blade was even a cabin boy.

We've never had any success have we???? I thought it was just a good argument for binning the Mascot

The kids seem to like him, and he's the current Olympic champion.

If only the first team could emulate that level of success. :)

The Tom Hark is there for the kids and if they like it then fair enough.

They're the future of our club (reading that back I sound like Whitney Housten!)

There is just a time and a place.

Don't play it when we're behind, just drawn level or edging a one goal lead.

Play it when we're battering a team.

Exactly what we need.

Goal.

Cheering and jumping about.

Tannoy - " Fnargle shargle criddle, scored by number faddle fiddle, Crumf Wacklewham".

Crowd, almost as one - "What the hell was that?"

Tom Hark sh!t.........
Captain Blade sh!t .............

Entrance music yesterday brilliant !

You miserable gits!
Tom Hark Brilliant
I would like to hear it 3 or 4 times every match!
Kids think its great! So do I

I may have a theory on this.

Did GS not release his very own version of the record back in the day when it was becoming popular?

Ergo, the reason it is played - royalties.

;)

That's a theory I've held for a long time Linz. As far as I know, the version played at the games is the one GS recorded. It can't be much though surely?

I didn't mind the Star Wars music, we had it for so long it just seemed right to hear it for us.

Which is the Kill Bill track? Is it this one?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnfFTVjRpLI

Great track that is but I think I'd prefer that like it is at the mo, used in the build up to the game.

What was the entrance music they used yesterday? I recognised it instantly as a great song but now I can't think what it was!!

I liked the Rage Against The Machine track (Killing In The Name Of) that they used at the start of last season and then the Guns & Roses (Live & Let Die) track was fantastic.

I prefer the Tom Hark tune to playing Annie's song at the start of each half. Thats just gay! why can't we just sing it ourselves. Makes us like like idiots that have to be prompted to sing

In that case, given these troubled economic times, I have a suggestion to save United some money.

:)

My official reply from Gary, I doubt he will mind me posting it on here.

ask the 24,000 who were doin 'it' what a better alternative is

We tried it without any celebration music and it's as flat as a fart

The kids love it and the chairman insists it's OUR song and we should stick with it

The NEW INTRO music will be the IGGY POP "Lust for Life " intro - hope you like that

Muttley beat me to it, but essentially, "Der Der Derr" is way bigegr than Gary Sinclair now. The board see how the young fans react to it and so want it played as it adds to this supposed "carnival atmosphere"....and as much as i dislike the bloody thing...if i hear it - it means we've scored...so i hope i hear it all season, many times a game.

You only have to look around the country at different teams and different sports to see how big this tune is...GS started the ball rolling and i'm suprised there's never been a world cup version!

Thing is when it wasn't played at Wembley there was very little noise at the start of the game or second half. It does help get a massive noise going, and i'm not a fan of things needing prompting but at the big games, it does sound truly impressive
