what sort of a reception should Jamie ward get tomorrow?? 2 Yellows in 20 minutes may have cost us an equaliser

He was stupid, but did it really cost us an equaliser?
Personally I think we were already struggling anyway to create good chances.

I think it can be put down to over enthusiasm and maybe a bit of frustration on his part.

As I said, it was stupid, but do you think we will get the best out of him by booing him? Your answer to that question should also answer the original one.

maybe not i never mentioned booing him easy guys and girls. I would never boo a blade just putting one out there

Well if he puts in a crap performance then then I guess not a good one.

Even if he was a complete tool that helped us lose the play off final I am sure he will get an alright reception.

no mate sorry never heard of them

No worries

I like Jamie Ward. There's something about him. The two handballs we could maybe put down to youthful exuberance. He certainly looked one of the players most likely to score at Wembley (even if it had been punched in!). He certainly looked more likely to score than Craig "Spotless Barndoor" Beattie.

Definitely one I'm expecting to shine this season.

"Steve "conker-bollocks" Knowles"

As nick-names go I think he drew a shortish straw on this one.

It was down to the fact that his bollocks were massive!!!:D

And before you think I'm some sort of perv, we knew because even with baggy jeans on they used to enter the room before him.

Looking back, maybe not such a good nickname as conkers are about the same size as the average testicle. Maybe it should have been "Coconut-bollocks". Doesn't sound half as good though.:D

I tell you now, he'll get 15 goals this season.

I'd be surprised if he did.

He looks very, very dangerous. I like everything about Ward right up until the finish. His finishing isn't quite up to scratch yet, with a bit of work I think he'll get 15 in a couple of seasons, but not this year.

Oooooh - quite a bit of noise about how well Ward will do this season - I reckon a poll is in order! :D

Think his tally will be dependant on whether the midfield gives him passes (was going to say "balls" - but after Conker-Bollox Knowles, I thought better of it :D) to run onto. Think he might work well with Reid who seemed up for playing in an early pass to feet. It'd be nice to see it happen.

Was thinking pretty much the same thing. Can't see a problem with Wardy getting 10 - 15 goals this season as long as the supply is there. Might be good to see Reid and Cotterill both feature tomorrow.

I think he's a right player definately one for the future , and reminds me of micheal owen back in the day , i agree with south essex blade !

The team as a whole lost it that day for me, not any individual players. I was just glad he was back playing yesterday.:)

That's goal number 1! and from right midfield aswell!! :D

If he could finish he'd have had 2 ;)

As I said in the match thread, he looks twice as dangerous on the right than he does up front. I think he'll score more coming in from the right than he will through the middle.
