Kyle McFadzean

This is my first ever comment so I appreciate some may not believe this but I went to school with Kyle so know him quite well. A relative of mine bumped into him the other day and asked if he was signing for United, his response was "I'm trying but United aren't willing to pay what MK Dons want". Apparently it didn't sound likely it would happen.

How dare you come on here and spout all this nonsense! ;)

Actually, thanks for the ITK info LjB
Good first post :)

Wilder has already stated he wants value for money so the fee will no doubt be still under tough negotiation
Robinson and MKD will have thought they had the strongest hand when we didn't have any CB at the club.
Now that we do then it makes their negotiating position a lot less prominent.

I've also got a feeling that the Burton link is something MKD and Robinson have initiated - since Clough was known to have looked at bringing Kyle in, before - to put some pressure on us.
No other club will be keen on taking a player on at this stage when it's obvious where he wants to move to - until any chance of that option is dead an buried.

They're not going to pay what they want straight away, we're in a strong bargaining position now with 3 centre halves on the books

I don't believe you

Joshin LJB, welcome.

Now gerron dog an bone and ask him yourself. ;)

I expect a compromise of around 350k plus add ons to be reached fairly soon.

They're not in a strong position. He's clearly going to leave and only seems interested in moving here. They can either keep an unhappy player, keep paying his wages for nothing and miss out on any fee, or they can sell him and move on. It's not like they're awash with cash either, they could do with having the money to spend on recruitment.

Spot on mate, have a like.

Hello, MK Dons fan here. This is a bit of an odd situation for us, as a club I've never seen us actually stand up firm ourselves against a player. We normally let them just go, and do what they want.

I can understand Robbo not wanting to sell to you, why sell to a promotional rival? I personally don't think KMF is worth £500,000 I think £350,000 ish would be a fairer price. Robinson called him the best CB in the league, I don't even think he's the best CB in our team. I believe Joe Walsh is much better, and younger. KMF isn't a championship player, more than decent in league one but he is prone to make mistakes and gets lots of suspensions.

I do find it a little odd hearing Sheffield United fans saying we don't have much bargaining power. Yes, the money for us would be good. But KMF still has 2 years left on his contract, it's not like we need to sell him now or he'll leave for a free soon.

Also, people keep saying we won't want to keep an unhappy player who we have to pay. Does anyone think he is actually getting paid at the moment? If he's not showing up he won't be getting paid, he'll be getting fined as Robbo said. So we have a player with 2 years left on his contract not getting paid...

At this point I just want him gone, he's killed off any chance of getting back in this team. What is strange, especially as he only recently signed a new contract and talked about how happy he was. He really hasn't done himself any favours.

Hope we're not being stupidly inflexible on this, & hanging Kyle out to dry.

As you are a plastic club, we will be paying in monopoly money

When we sign him we could have the chant:-

KMF!! a ha a ha a
Doo doo doo doo.
KMF is gonna tackle yer
then pass it to Scougall
Pass it to Scougall.

Yes I am kidding can everyone stop coming up with wank chants :D

How much is Joe Walsh?

Not sure 100% how it works but the maximum you can be fined is two weeks wages. Whether the player will be getting no pay at all is doubtful to me

If he continuously doesn't show up, surely we can continuously fine him?

I'm not sure if it works like that, but if he showed willingness to turn up and make himself available, as he surely would if he was stuck at the club and the alternative was getting fined every week, then you'd be obliged to pay him. Which wouldn't be a good situation.

If he's only willing to sign for us then you've got a problem long term, if he just wanted to move anywhere it wouldn't be such a problem.

I know, difficult situation really. As I said, I'd rather he just went. I don't care if that's to you or someone else, I'm just not interested in him.

We could sack him and hold his registration Leon Knight style.

Just a thing that i thought id mention just in case because it could be something or absoultely nothing. But a friend was telling yesterday that hes been seeing kyle mcfadzean shopping in sheffield recently now we were bpth saying its could be nothing just seeing family in the off season

But It just made me think because its well known how hard Wilder was pushing to sign him from MK dons until Karl Robinson would only sell him to burton. & with their relegation he could be trying again

Sure we have moved on significantly since we were trying to sign two years ago.
Apparently Karl Robinson lost the respect of Wilder, SUFC and his own player with the way he handled it, deal was agreed then he went back on his word.

Robinson went back on the deal? If so then surely its Wilder and McFadzean who should be most miffed!

Thought he would've been a decent signing in League 1, especially when we had the likes of McEveley playing there. Definitely moved on now though, he's not a top half championship defender.

McFadzean's chance to play for us came and went in a flash, all thanks to that pathetic fat wanker Karl Robinson. McFadzean must hate him for it.

Absolute Blessing in disguise imo.

Would we have signed JOC if that deal had come off? Possibly but probably not and jack is 10 times the player and significantly younger too.

Cheers fat robbo
