Anyone interested in pre-ordering give this post a ‘like’ and I’ll send details, thanks (mostly) for the support

My cousin just wrote a book and he was quite strict in which channels we all bought it, as if we bought it through certain channels he hardly saw a penny...

So, Daniel Son - which is the most lucrative channel for your good self for us to purchase the aforementioned novella? Let me know, and stick me down for a copy!

Thanks mate. Your cousin isn’t wrong!

Won the 3rd division - some revolution?

What percentage of sales generated from the free advertising you are undertaking on this site run and maintained at Foxy and Linz expense will you be putting through the donate function?

Probably the same amount he donated out of the charity money he raised by advertising the fundraising attempt on the site.

Great timing. I’m due to have surgery in July, followed by a couple of months off work recovering so count me in for a copy Danny04

Just finished the first draft of my first book, on Chris Wilder and his Bramall Lane revolution. Features contributions from, amongst others, Jake Wright, Richard Stearman, Tony Currie, David Brooks, Paul Coutts. And Chris Wilder. Plus a few forum members.

It’s out hopefully in August. If anyone’s interested in a copy, please PM me. Few more details below. Cheers

Did you end up using that introduction Woodwardfan wrote for you?

I've got a lot of admiration for anyone who gets off their arse to write a book, regardless of how good it is. It's especially hard to do if your job involves pretty much the same thing - research, then sitting at a computer trying to string words together. As long as it's easy to read and contains a few new anecdotes, this can't really go wrong, among Blades fans at least.

If you can't wait for Danny's book to appear under the Christmas tree I'd recommend A Yorkshire Tragedy by Anthony Clavane. It focuses on the decline of Yorkshire sport in general but one of the chapter's chapter comprehensively details the Brearly era at the Lane. Worth buying for that chapter alone.

Thanks for the support mate :)

And the answer to this very reasonable question is ........ ??

The same percentage as anyone who wants to offload a retro shirt, old match programme or other Blades memorabilia on this site will donate. As long as it's Blades-related I see no harm in posting. I'm sure the admins will get copies.

It's a lot of work to write a book, you put in loads of unpaid hours in advance and often you don't make enough back to cover what would be a normal wage for the hours you spent on it - especially in a highly specialised market where you'll be lucky to shift 2000. I read recently that a former Booker-shortlisted author from a few years ago can't make a living from writing today. I'm just glad that there's another Blades book out, especially as its documenting good times for a change.

As long as "Bramall" is spelt right.

Don't remember seeing that one, what was the plotline?

It's a bit like Dr Who where the Doc keeps regenerating. Started with Dick Wragg and moves on through the years. Currently on Megson, the most "popular" Cnut after Ainsworth.

Danish king of England tries an aquatic metaphor but fails and is forever consigned to history as the bloke who tried to command the sea.

That's the one!, most of the fans are up in arms because for the first time ever this year, Megson regenerates into a woman

Bit premature this.

Personally i'd wait at least until after our Champs League 2020/21 victory to publish.
